WHEREAS:
1. On the 6th day of June,
1930, the Commission of the City of Bozeman,
pursuant to the provisions of Ordinance No.
561 entitled:
"AN ORDINANCE
GOVERNING TIlE CONSTRUCTION AND INSTALLATION

PROVIDING PEN.ALTIES FOR THE VIOLl.l.TION Oli' TIllS ORDINANCE
AND REPEALING ORDINANCES NUMBERED 565,

AND 451, AND ALL OTHER ORDINANCES AND PAL~TS OF ORDINANCES
OF THE CITY OF BOZE!\;lAN IN CONFLICT HEREWITH"
and provisions of Section 5244, Political Code,
RCM. , 1921, as amended by Chapter 12,
Laws of Montana, 1929,
passed Commission Resolution No. 182 entitled:

PROVIDING FOR TIill CONSTRUCTION OF MISCELLANEOUS SIDE-
WALKS AND CURBS IN THE CITY OF BOZEb:AN DURING THE YlI:}.,H 1930,
WITHOUT THE FORMATION Ol~ .A Sl)ECIAL IIviPROVElvmNT DISTRICT!I and
2. Proceedings were had thereunder for the construction
and installation
of Miscellaneous Sidewalks and Curbs during the year 1930,
and
3. :Miscellaneous sidewalks and curbs were constructed
and installed
bordering on various properties in the City of Bozeman, pursuant to Ordinance No. 561,
Section 5244, Political Code,
RCl\,i, 1921, as amended, and said COTIMission
Resolution I
No. 182, which Ordinance No. 561, Section 5244,
Political Code, RCM,
1921, as amended,
and Commission Resolution No. 182 are hereby referred to and made a part of this
Resolution, and
4, The Miscellaneous Sidewalks and Curbs as contemplated
in said Hes- ..,.
olution No. 182 have been constructed and completed in accordance with the terms
and conditions of said Resolution, and the City Engineer has duly certified to the
Connnission a schedule showing the Sidewalks and Curbs
which have been constructed
and installed, and the prop~rties which are subject
to assessn~nt thereunder and
the total cost of said construction and installation in the sum of One Thousand Forty
Nine Dollars and Fifty Cents ($1049.50), which schedule,
marked "Schedule AT! is
hereto attached and made a part hereof.

NOW TIIEREFORE,
Pursuant to the provisions of Ordinance No. ~61, as afore-
said, Section 5244, Political Code,
RCL1, 1921, as am.ended,
as aforesaid, and

~hat to defray the cost of constructing and installing Miscellaneous
Sidewalks and Curbs as set forth in Schedule flAil,
hereto attached and made a part
hereof, there is hereby levied and assessed a tax amounting
to the SUlIl 01' One
Thousand Forty Nine Dollars and Fifty Cents (*1049.50).
2. That a particular description 01' each lot and parcel
of land with the

installation and the amount of each partial payment to be made and the day when the
same shall become delinquent is set forth in the assessment list hereto attached,
I marlced "Schedule A" and made a part hereof; that Lie ~everal sums set opposi te
the names of the owners and the description of the lots and pan:ols of land be,
and the sarne are hereby respectively levied and assessed upon said lots and parcels
of land to defray the cost and expense of constructing and installing said Sidewalks
and Curbs; that the several Silins so assessed be collected from the respective owners
of said lots and parcels of land described in said assessment list Schedule
'.A" as
required by law; that the payment of said sums shall be made in six installments
and the payment of' said installments shall extend over a period of five (5) years;
that the payment of the respective annual installments shall be made on or before
the 30th day of November of each year until the payment of all the installments,
together with the interest thereon shall be made; that said sums shall be paid and
the collection thereof shall be Inade in the manner and in accordance with the law
governing the collection of Special Improvement Taxes; that failure to pay such
assessments when the same shall become due and payable shall make such persons
and said lots and parcels of land liable to the penalties provided by law relative
to delinquent taxes;
I 2. That the regular
session of the Commission of the City of Bozeman to
be held in the Corn.tnission Chamber in the City Hall of said City on the 5th day of
September, 1930, at Four O'clock P. U., be,
and the same is hereby designated as
the time and place at which objections to the final adoption of this Resolution
will be::eard by the said Commission;
3. rrhat the Clerk
of the Commission of the City of Bozeman be, and she
is hereby ordered and directed to publish in the Bozeman Daily Chronicle, a daily
newspaper printed and published in the said City of Bozeman, a notice signed by
the Clerk of the Commission and stat ing that a Resolut ion levying and essessing a
special assessment of taxes to defray the cost and expense of constructing and
installing Miscellaneous Sidewalks and Curbs in the City of Bozeman for the year
1930 is on file in the office of the Clerk of the Commission sUbject to inspection
for a period of five (5) days; that said notice shall state the time and place at
wllieh objections will be heard by the Commission to the final adopt ion of this
Resolution; that it shall be published at least five
(5) days before the day set by
the COlTImission for the hearing of ob jections and the final adoption of this
Res-
I olution.
Passed and adopted by the Commission of the City of Bozeman at a regular
session thereof', held on the 29th day of August,
1930.

HEARING, FINAL ADOPTION COMMISSION RESOLUTION
NO. 195 LEVYING ASSESSMENT TAXES, CONSTRUCTION

AND INSTALL.ATION OF MISCELLANEOUS SIDEWALKS AND
CUBBS IN THE CITY OF BOZEMi.l.N DlJRING THE YEAR 1930.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN That at a regular session of the
Commission of the
City of Bozeman, held on Friday the 29th day of August,
1930, Cownission Resolution
No. 195 was duly passed and adopted; that said Commission Resolution levies and
assesses a special assessment of taxes upon certain lots and parcels of land in
front, or on the side of which, Sidewalks and Curbs
have been constructed, pursuant
to the provisions of Ordinanc e No. 561, Section 5244,
Political Code, RClvl, 1921, as
amended by Chapter 12, Laws of Montana,
1929, to defray the cost and expense of
oonstructing and installing said Sidewalks and Curbs.
That, said
Commission Resolution is now on file in the office of the Clerk
of the Commission, subject to inspection tor a period of five
(5) days by any
persons interested. That Friday the 5th day of September,
1930, at Four O'clock
P. 1,~., of said day, at the regular session of the said Oonunission
of the City of
Bozeman at the Commission Chmnber in the City Hall Building of said City,
has been
designated as the time and place when and where the said CoItilllission will hear and
pass upon any and all objections that may be made to the final passage and adoption

of said hesolution No. 195 and the levying of said assessment, and
that said Res-
olution will be fL,all;y passed and adopted at said regular session.
All persons interested are referred to said Commission
Resolution No. 182
of the City of Bozeman for the construction of Miscellaneous Bidewalks and Curbs
in front, or on the side, of lots and parcels of land within the City of Bozeman
for the year 1930, without the formation of a Special Lnprovement District.
