Subject: Invitation to an informational meeting for the College Reconstruction-Bozeman

The Montana Department of Transportation cordially invites you to attend an informational
meeting regarding our proposal to reconstruct approximately o.6 miles of College Street in
Bozeman, MT. The project begins at the intersection of College Street and West Main Street
and extends to the intersection of College Street and South 191h Avenue. The open house will
begin at 6:30 p.m.with a presentation to start at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 17, 2012. The
meeting will be held at the Bozeman High School , south cafeteria, 205 N ilth Avenue
Bozeman, Montana.
The purpose of this meeting is to discuss MDT's proposal to reconstruct the existing roadway
and add a raised median/left turn lane, as well as install curb and gutter, sidewalk on the
north side, bike lanes, lighting, a traffic signal at the intersection of College Street and S. 23rd
Avenue, and finish with a seal &cover (chip seal), upgraded pavement markings and signage.
The project is tentatively scheduled for construction in 2014, depending on completion of
design and the availability of funding. Utility relocations and new right-of-way will be
required. MDT staff will contact landowners prior to construction regarding property
acquisition and temporary construction permits
