Director’s Report
August 26, 2014
STREAMLINE: The Streamline fleet is running without a spare for the time being because of fairly minor issues. There seem to be more
door issues than normal, but we should be back to full force in the near future.
The Belgrade Fall Festival will be September 20 and will include both Galavan and Streamline in its
parade. Thank you to James for manning the ship during the Sweet Pea festival.
The brochures have been distributed and the wall maps will be soon. We will replace the Green Line
signs as soon as they are available and have street signs installed as well.
I have been contacted by Mandy Rutherford who teaches a class at the college with engineering and computer
students. They are looking for true life exercises to work on so I enlisted their help to aid Taylor in his quest for better routes and service.
I have been contacted by the VFW
to store an old bus in our facility. We cannot donate the space but we could rent a spot for a small amount. For the time being we have enough room to help them out.
GALAVAN:
Galavan added 25 new customers in July and gave a total of 2,039 rides in 22 days of service.
During the past fiscal year we enrolled 196 new customers and provided 21,614rides.
We
have a new part-time helper in the Galavan/Streamline office. Lloyd Kandel is with a veterans’ that pays him to retrain. He has a CDL and some office experience so he is fitting in
nicely. He will work with us until the middle of December.
We are still fighting the good fight with equipment problems.
