SCHEDULING CAPABILITIES AND AVAILABILITY:
All of the projects at Gaston Engineering & Surveying,
P.C. are prioritized in a Master Project Schedule. The
staff and equipment are resource loaded to ensure that
each project will be completed within the established
project schedule. Current projections show that we i =
will not be 100% loaded during the 2014 and 2015 =
fiscal years and can handle additional workload. -
Our firm monitors the progress of each one of our
projects on a weekly basis by utilizing Microsoft ;
Project scheduling software and our weekly staff
meeting. If unforeseen issues arise in any of our ^
projects, personnel are re-assigned and level loaded to
ensure that projects are completed as per the contract
agreements. This constant monitoring of our
workload also provides a means to forecast manpower = -
requirements well in advance. We also have a
professional engineer on staff that has been certified
as a Project Management Professional. She will bring her expertise in Project Management to this project for the
scheduling of resources and equipment to ensure that the critical path and milestones for these projects are
completed successfully.

Topcon GR3 and Leica GPS Equipment:The survey department utilizes state-of-the-art Topcon GR3
and Leica equipment which is the most recent and up-to-date GPS technology available in the surveying
industry today. One of the advantages of the GR-3 is that it has the capability of reading both the >
American and Russian constellation of satellites, which is a critical advantage in areas of rugged terrain
or heavy cover. 1
AutoCAD Civil 3D 2013 and 2015: Gaston Engineering's designers and engineers utilize the latest AutoCAD
technology with Civil 3D 2013 and 2015 versions. The 3D software allows us to easily calculate cuts, fills, and cross
sections related to geotechnical work with minimal effort and has many additional features necessary for precise
design projects.
l Our Topcon receivers can be configured to operate as two(2)independent RTK units, a single RTK unit with dual
rovers, or as four individual static receivers.
2 The Sokkia receivers are dedicated static units that enable Gaston Engineering to conduct up to eight (8) static
sessions simultaneously when used in conjunction with our Topcon GR-3 units.
3 These Windows based field computers will run our Topcon GPSreceivers in RTK mode, or our Sokkia total stations
in conventional mode.
4 PDL radio extends the effective range of our RTK system by several miles.
'These programs are utilized to download and process RTK and static data from the Topcon receivers.

United States Forest Service(USFS)/Bureau of Land Management(BLM) Contract Work:
• Gaston Engineering was selected to perform field work on behalf of the Bureau of Land
Management and the United States Forest Service for a particularly challenging survey
located near the top of Lone Peak in Big Sky. The initial phase of the project included
extensive corner search for existing monumentation on steep and rugged terrain. Corner
monuments found where then located using static GPS observations, post-processed in-
house. Survey data analysis was performed by the BLM,who computed coordinates for lost
or obliterated corners. Gaston's final step was to set appropriately stamped brass caps at
locations specified by BLM.
Other Applicable Experience:
• Numerous American Land Title Association / American Congress on Surveying and
Mapping (ALTA/ACSM) Surveys throughout the state, including but not limited to the
following: Hastings Shopping Center, located in the City of Bozeman, Big Sky Resort
properties in the Meadow and Mountain Villages, Madison and Gallatin Counties,; Wheat
Commercial subdivision, City of Bozeman; Social Security building, City of Bozeman;
Kelly's Inn properties in Billings and West Yellowstone; University Apartments, City of
Bozeman; and 301 3`d Avenue South, Great Falls. These surveys include an in-depth
analysis of title and record documents benefiting or encumbering the subject tract.
• Topographical Survey for the Valley Center Road improvements from 19`h Avenue to
Catron Street in Bozeman, MT. Gaston Engineering provided the boundary and
topographical survey utilized by the Montana Department of Transportation and their
consultants in the design of the project.

• Land surveying services including right-of-way locations, boundary surveys, and
topographical and planimetric feature locations for various Encroachment Permits,
including but not limited to the following:Owenhouse Ace Hardware located along Route

Shopping Plaza entrance revisions, City of Bozeman, Gallatin County; Sleeping Bear
Minor Subdivision Number 285,Gallatin County;Utility occupancy permit for Lot 1 of the
North Fork Creek Subdivision, Gallatin County.
• Revisions to Gooch Hill Road at Huffine Road (Route 191) intersection located in
Sections 8, 9, 16 & 17, T2S, RSE, P.M.M., including the addition of a turn lane and
intersection improvements. Gaston provided land surveying services for this project.
• Land surveying services for numerous residential
subdivisions throughout Southwest Montana,including '
but not limited to the following: Colter's Run
Subdivision located in Section 20,T2N,R1E,P.M.M.,
Broadwater County; Pioneer Crossing and Centennial
Village,Town of Manhattan,Gallatin County;Diamond
Estates Subdivision,City of Bozeman,Gallatin County;
Powder Ridge Subdivision, Big Sky Montana. Gaston
land surveyors provided boundary and topographical
surveys, located and defined existing rights-of-way, - -
platted lots, defined new rights-of-way and located
various above and below grade utility lines using Phase
I and Phase II subsurface utility engineering methods
for the above referenced subdivisions, along with many
others. This information was then forwarded to our in
house engineering department in CADD format for use
in the design of infrastructure improvements.:.

ski resort and surrounding areas. State plane coordinate values for photo and LiDAR control
points were computed based upon static GPS observations post-processed in-house. The
resulting survey depicted boundary, topographical and planimetric features for all or portions
of 7 sections of land. Field verification of the finished product revealed that the LiDAR
based contour mapping was well within National Map Accuracy Standards.
• Numerous communications tower site and lease parcel surveys throughouth the State of
Montana. These surveys include the requirment to determine the latitude, longitude and
elevation of the center of the proposed tower in order to certify its location to the Federal
Aviation Agency (FAA lA or 2C cerrtification), which we normally derive through static
GPS observations post-processed using the National Geodetic Survey (NGS) On-line
Positioning User Service(OPUS). Due to the requirements of the communications industry,
most of these surveys are conducted in remote areas.
• Gas well location surveys throughout Sweet Grass and Park Counties. Well-head locations
must be referenced to the nearest adjacent section lines, and located geodetically(latitude and
longitude derived through static GPS observations and provided in NAD'83 format). These
projects clearly demonstrate our ability to find and locate section corners and to perform
geodetic calculations based upon static GPS observations.
• Retracement surveys of various properties, inclduing:
o Retracement survey of Sections 19, 20, 21, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32 and 33, Township 2
South, Range 10 East, P.M.M., Park County, Montana, each of which was broken
down into aliquot parts and/or government lots, depending upon the method of
subdivision protraction utilized on the original GLO survey. Numerous original
section corners were found and located using our Topcon GR-3 RTK system.
Missing corners were re-established and monumented in accordance with State
Statues, and certified corner records filed for each.
