HomeMy WebLinkAboutRiverside Annexation Public Comment from Linda and Mike Ward 8-18-14From:Ward, Linda To:Agenda Cc:dking@mtopticcom.net Subject:Riverside Waste and Sewer Agenda Item Date:Monday, August 18, 2014 10:46:27 AM Dear Commissioners: I am writing about the Riverside Waste and Sewer Interlocal Agreement to be reviewed8/18/14. In general, I am requesting additional cost information in order to help me make an informed decision about the annexation proposal. It appears the impact fee per current household to the Riverside would be $911. ($112,012/123) What would the estimated sewer usage charges be upon connection? Can you also provide as estimate of what typical household (guessing an estimated house value of greater than $300,000) pays in annual city taxes and assessments per year? Pleaseenumerate if possible. A list of the assessments the City has made in the last 10 years for an example of assessments. Please know I am hopefully no asking for information that wouldrequire more than an hour of time to pull. I think the fiscal effects item in your document could be expanded to include this information. “Additional annual tax revenues are expectedof “x” for each household upon annexation and additional annual sewer usage charges of “x” for each household. (each vs. aggregate is more helpful to me) Thank you for yourconsideration. FISCAL EFFECTS: All direct costs associated with the sewer pipe line connection project will bepaid by the Riverside Sewer District. The District will pay impact fees estimated at $112,019 and sewerusage charges upon connection to the WRF. Linda and Mike Ward Owner 105C Gallatin Drive
