Honorable Mayor and City Commission,
I am writing in reference to Agenda Item: G#1, concerning the proposedinterlocal agreement between Riverside and the City of Bozeman.
First I would like to thank City Manager Kukulski and his staff for their help ingetting to the point we are now of presenting this agreement to you for yourconsideration.
As a resident of Riverside and a member of the Riverside Water and Sewer Board, Ifirmly believe that the agreement being presented to you is a win-win proposal for
all parties involved including the fantastic Gallatin Valley environment that we allenjoy.
For the city to annex Riverside subdivision, as you know, requires a vote of theresidents/property owners. Our Board has held meetings and actually conducted a“non-binding” poll to determine how residents/property owners felt aboutannexation. This process has progressed from opposition to annexation under anyarrangement in the early stages to being receptive to a 10 year deferredannexation. I am very confident that if this deferral period is reduced to the levelbeing proposed by the City Manager and his staff we will not be able to obtainapproval from the residents/property owners and a great opportunity for all partieswill not happen.
Please support the agreement as written.
Thank you for your consideration.
