From pre-design to construction documents, 109 N Rouse A—e,k, clear understanding of potential costs can shape expectations and goals; at Comma-0 Architecture we monitor costs throughout the design process. In an open, and sometimes volatile, construction market Comma-Q Architecture has developed a three- pronged system for staying abreast of construction costs: First, our firm's experience in the local market gives us specific, local data. We have bid many publicly funded projects over the years, as well as private commercial and residential work, right up to current and ongoing major construction work. This gives us cost data from recent projects that keeps us informed on cost trends for specific materials, assemblies and systems. Second, we utilize nationally recognized construction cost data bases, like Reed Construction Data and R.S. Means cost estimating guides. These comprehensive guides are based on wide-ranging surveys of current cost data with factors for regional variations. These data bases are updated quarterly and provide a solid tool for analyzing your Project from the early design stages to help us make the right design choices. Lastly,we utilize our solid and collaborative working relationship with area contractors to consult on current local market costs and availability for specific systems, products or assemblies.
