A RESOLUTION OF THE CO~~ISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZNil.N,
STATE OF
MONTANA, DECLARING IT TO BE THE INTENTION OF SAID COMlJISSION TO
CREATR A SPECIAL IMPROVEMENT LIGHTING DISTRICT TO BE KNOWN AND

DESIGNATED AS "SPECIAL IMPROVEMENT LIGHTING DISTRICT NO. 289" OF

Section 5.
Estimate of Approximate Cost
It is estimated that the approximate cost of doing said work and of making said
improvement is Four Hundred Forty Dollars ($440.00), three-fourths (3/4) tnereof to I'
be ~ssessed against the property within said district upon the area basis, with the .
area of the corner lots within said district doubled.
Section 6.
Area of Said District
The total area of said district, with the area of the corner lots therein
doubled, as aforesaid, is Seventy-Six Thousand Eight Hundred (76,800) ~~uare feet.

Section 7.
Rate of Assessmerit
The estimated rate of assessment per s~uare foot of the area of said district,
to defray the cost of installation as aforesaid, is $0.0043.
Section 8.
Cost of Maintenance
An estimate of the approximate cost of maintaining such lights and supplying
electrical current therefore for the first year is One Hundred Twelve Dollars and
Sixty.four Cents (~11;:;;.64), of which three-fourths (3/4), Eighty-Four Dollars and
Forty-eight Cent s (:jp84 .48), is to be assessed. aga ins t the property embrac ed wi thin . 'I

of the area within said district, with the area of the corner lots doubled as
aforesaid. ,
Section 9.
Payment _
That payment of the cost of installing said improvement shall be made in
five (5) equal annual installments.
Section 10. -
Time For Hearing
That Friday, the 1st day of February, 1935, at the hour of 7:30 o'clock P. M.,
of said day is hereby designated as the time, and. the Commission Chamber of the
City Commission of the City of Bozeman, in the City Hall of said City as the place,
when and where the Commission of the City of Bozeman will hear and pass upon all
protests that are mad.e against the creation of said Special Improvement Lighting
District No. 289.
Passed and. adopted by the Commission. of the City of Bozeman at a regular I

Notice is hereby given that at a regular session of the Commission of the City

of Bozeman,
State of Montana,
held on Friday,
the 11th day of Japuary,
1935,
I
Commission Resolution No. 280 was passed and adopted.
By said resolution the
Commission of the City of Bozeman declares its intention to create a Special
Improvement Lighting District to be known and designated as Special Improvement
Lighting District No. 289 of the City of Boze~an, Montana.
The general character of the improvement so proposed to b~ made is to erect
and maintain and operate six ornamental lamp posts with 2500 Lumen electric lamps
and underground cables to carry the electric current therefore and. all suitable
and necessary appliances.
The estimated cost 01' making said improvement is Four Hundred. Forty Dollars
($440.00);
and the estimated cost of maintaining such lights and supplying the
