Boulder Creek Subdivision
Please find enclosed a copy of the approved Weed Management Plan for the Boulder Creek
Major Subdivision. The noxious weeds: Canada thistle, musk thistle, and houndstongue shall
be treated by July 1 of each year with a follow-up treatment in the fall by October 15 of each
year, if needed. Hoary cress (Whitetop) shall be treated by June 15 of each year using Escort
at 1 ounce per acre. The weed plan had hoary cress treated with Escort at 11 ounces per acre.
Houndstongue should be treated using Escort rather than Forefront.
There may be tali buttercup in the area as well; therefore, be sure to treat tall buttercup if it is
found. Tall buttercup can be treated using Forefront.

NOXIOUS WEED MANAGEMENT PLAN
This plan is valid and effective upon approval by the Board or it's Representative for 3 years
from date of approval. The Landowner/responsible Party agrees that the Board shall have the
right to revise this plan and any Memorandum of Understanding as necessary to effectuate the
purposes of the Gallatin County Weed Management Flan or Montana Noxious Weed Control
Act. If a new Landowner/Responsible Party becomes involved before expiration of this plan, the
new Landowner/Responsible Party must submit a new Weed Management Plan for approval by
the Weed District. The Landowner/responsible Warty will provide documentation that the Weed
Management Plan has been implemented.
The property owner agrees that the Weed District may inspect the property prior to granting
approval of the Weed Management Plan, and if approved, such reasonable inspections as
necessary to determine compliance with this plan.
Weed Management Mans that have expired require a submittal of a new Weed Management
Plan and documentation of completed weed control efforts. A property inspection is mandatory
for reviewing the plan. There is a Review Fee of 300 for a Major Subdivision and 160 for a
Minor Subdivision. These fees also apply to applications for Extensions of Preliminary Flat,
Landowner/Responsible Party agrees to comply with this plan.

MANDATORY EVEGETATION REQUIREMENTS: Areas disturbed during subdivision
development (road construction, pond construction, servicelutilitylgaslelectria4elephone line
installation) will have a layer of topsoil redistributed onto disturbed areas. Disturbed areas will be
seeded to an appropriate grass seed mix for the site. During the first and second years of grass
establishment, areas seeded to grass will be mowed as appropriate to prevent weed seed
development and dispersal.

Disturbed lot areas and boulevard strips will require a 6"layer of topsoil to be distributed over the disturbed arei
Final surface shall be smooth and shallow roughened for seed catchment. Rocks larger than 1"diameter shall
be removed by mechanical means. Disturbed area shall be sodded or seeded at a rate to establish a minimum
of one pure,live seed per square inch. Fertilize all seeding once seed is germinated with 17-17-17 at a rate of
2.5 pounds per 1000 square feet. Overseed with appropriate mix at the start of the second year as needed1c,
ensure even stand establishment.
