HomeMy WebLinkAbout13_Appendix K_Planting Plan WATERCOURSE PLANTING PLAN The Watercourse Planting Plan for Boulder Creek Subdivision (Sheet I of 1) shows the location of 18 planting clusters, consisting of 33 trees and 79 shrubs, for a total of 112 plants. Eleven of the clusters are dominated by wetland plants and seven of the clusters are dominated by upland plants. The species, quantities, recommended plant sizes, and diameter at maturity of individual woody plant materials are included on the table shown on Sheet I of I for the Boulder Creek Subdivision. The woody plants will be irrigated and caged for protection from wildlife browse. The tree density for Boulder Creek Subdivision was greater than the 27 trees required for the length of the watercourse within the subdivision. The shrub density was reduced slightly from 82 based on the presence of the existing woody overstory located between Sherwood Way and Oak Street and north of Annie Street. The native streambank and upland seed mixes shown on Sheet I of I for Westbrook and Boulder Creek Subdivisions will be planted in areas disturbed during construction or existing bare areas. The native streambank mix will be seeded in areas where the groundwater table rises to within 12 inches of the ground surface during the growing season, which coincides with areas delineated as wetlands. The native upland mix will be planted in the remaining disturbed areas. Please contact my office at 586-6909 or via email at bvaughn@montana.com if you have questions or require further information.
