Many of these fireworks sound likemortar rounds and cannon fire in a war zone. They disturb residents: some of whomare trying to sleep because they have to go to work in the morning; others aretrying to sleep because they are sick or elderly and need their rest. Some may becombat veterans suffering from PTSD, and some are pets traumatized by these veryloud explosions. I lived in Appleton, WI, before moving back here. Appleton does notallow residents to set off fireworks within the city limits, period. And yet the peopleof Appleton had fun on the 4th without ever igniting a single fireworks. Why can'tBozeman do what Appleton does in this regard? And why are some residentsallowed to be inconsiderate of their neighbors by setting off these very loud, bomb-sounding fireworks? Sincerely, Bill Serdahely, Ph.D.
