Johnson, Superintendent Solid Waste Division Chris Kukulski, City Manager SUBJECT: Purchase of one new 2008 Side Load Refuse Packer MEETING DATE: December 17, 2007 BACKGROUND: The purchase of this truck has been scheduled in the CIP and is replacing a 2003 Side Load Refuse Packer that presently has 8,500 hours of service. The delivery time for the replacement is 6 to 7 months. That will bring the hours up approximately 10,000 hours of service. RECOMMENDATION: Approve the low bid of $221,248.00 from Rocky Mountain Truck Center. FISCAL EFFECTS: The funds for this project will be drawn out of the Solid Waste Division Enterprise Fund.
