COMMISSION TO QUITCLAIM Ol\f B[i;HALF OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN TO
WILLIAM CARL KRUEGER THE STRIP OF LAND HEREINAFTER IN THIS RE-
SOLUTION PARTICTTL1~RLY l)ESCRIBTD.
Whereas William Carl Krueger of The City of Bozeman is the owner of Block IICt! of I
the Original Townsite of Bozeman and he and his predecessors in interest have been such
owners for many years; and
Whereas there lies between the north line of said Block "Ct! and the south line
of East Babcock street the strip of land hereinafter particularly described to which
The City of Bozeman has never made any claim nor used nor occupied for any purpose
whatsoever and for which it has no use for street or other purposes; and
Whereas such possible claim of The City of Bozeman to said strip of land em-
barrasses and hampers tho said owner in his use and disposition of his said property
and the said City upon report of its City Engineer and after due consideration of said
report by the City Commission and City Manager is of the opinion that the City should
quitclaim said strip of land to the said William Carl Krueger and may do so without
detriment to the plblic interest; now, therefore, in consideration of the premises,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CO~~ffISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN:
Section 1
That the Mayor and the Clerk of The City Commission be, and they are hereby
authorized, empowered and dIrected to execute and deliver to William Carl Krueger, I
his heirs and assigns, the quit claim deed of The City of Bozeman in and to the
following described real property situate in the Original Townsite of Bozeman,
Gallatin County, Montana, to-wit:
Beginning at the Southwest corner of Block "c" of the Original
Townsite of Bozeman according to the plat of said Original Town-
site of record and on file in the office of the County Clerk and
Recorder of Gallatin County, Montana, thence south along the east
line of Bozeman Avenue South a distance of (12.7) twelve and seven-
tenths feeti more or less, to the south line of the northwest
quarter (NW"4) of Section Seven (7), Township Two South of Range
Six East (T2SR6E) MPN; thence east along said south line of said
quarter section a distance of 240 feet, more or less, to an exten-
sion of the east line of Lot 29 of said Block IICII of the Original
Townsi te of Bozeman; tbence nort}l. 3.long said extended east line of
said Lot 29 a distance of (19.02) nineteen and two one-hundredths
feet, more or less, to the southeast corner of sald Lot 29 of said
Block nCn; thence west alon,Q: the south line of said Block "c" 240
feet, more or less, to the point of the be,dnning of this descrip-
tion.
Section 2
That said quitclaim be made for the nominal consideration of one dollar.
Passed and adopted by the City Commission of The City of Bozeman in regular
meeting assembled this 22nd day of February, 1946. II

Bozeman Daily Chronicle, a newspaper of general circulation printed and published
