Having citywide park signage that is consistent yet still highlights the individual features that make each park special will add to Bozeman's overall Sense of Place. Attached, please find our conceptual designs for park entrance signs. We propose to use a similar design to the park signage located at Sandan Park and Matthew Madison Park in the Cattail Creek neighborhood. These signs are made of durable materials (powder-coated steel), are easy to install, maintain and mow around and are designed at an appropriate pedestrian scale that is also easily readable and recognizable from an automobile in all seasons. While the repetition of the design will provide a sense of consistency for all City Parks, the text and the front square panel can be customizable to highlight a unique part of the park or neighborhood. In terms of process, we propose to work with the City and any identified stakeholders on a time and materials basis to make any desired adjustments to the existing sign design and to provide the City with a new set of full construction drawings. Ideally, these drawings would go out to bid to assure the most competitive prices in an effort to meet the City's identified goal of$2,000 per sign. We can also assist the City, stakeholders and neighbors to appropriately site the sign and to develop park-specific graphics that can used on the front square panel. These graphics could also be used by the Parks Department as part of a larger park branding effort for the City's website and other publications. p.406 582 8988 f-406 582.8911 www intrinsikarchitecture.com 111 North Tracy Avenue Bozeman Montana 59715 We have many years of demonstrable experience with parks planning, design, wayfinding as well as permitting.
