MAINTENANCE OF FARKINGS TO DEFRAY THE COST OF MAINTAINING THE F'ARKn~GS WITEIN
SAID SEI'CIAL IMPROVEMTmT DISTRICTS OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN FOR THE YEAR 1946.
WlmW:"AS, the City Council and the Commission of The City of Bozeman have heretofore
I duly and reglJlarly passed Council and Commission Resolutions creating spec.ial improvement
dis tric ts wi thin The C1 ty of Bozeman defining the boundar! es the reof and providing for
the maintenance of parkings therein, and for the assessment of the cost of maintaining
the parkings as set forth in Resolutions hereinafter referred to; and
WHEREAS, the parkintrs within the boundaries of said Sepcial Improvement Districts
hBve been cared for and maintained during the year 1946, as contemplated in said Resolutions,
in accordance wi th terms and condi tions thereof; and
WHEREAS, said Special Improvement Districts for the maintenance of parkings and the
Resolutions creating the same, the total frontage or the area, of the property within said
districts to be assessed, the total cost of said maintenance within said districts and the
amount chargeable to the property therein is hereinafter set forth.
NOW, THEREFORF<':;, pursuan t to the provis ions of Sec tion 5242, Poli tical Code,
R. C. M., 1935, and said Council and Commission Resolutions, creating said Special Improve-
ment Districts, and providing for the maintenance thereof;
BE IT RESOLVED A.ND IT IS HEREBY ORDERED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
BOZE~"Ar, STATE OF MONTANA:
Section 1. That for the year 1946, The City of Bozeman has defrayed the cost
I ($3,074.57) of maintenance of parkin,c,.s in theseveral Special Improvement Distrjcts, pur-
suant to Resol1Jtions creating the same, and that the entire cost thereof, the total number
of linear feet, or area, of property to be assessed, and the rate per linear or square
foot, is as follows, towit:
!/faintenance of Farking District No.6, created bv Council Resolution No. 306 on South
Willson Avenue from Babcock Street to College Street,'a total frontage of 4355.37 linear
feet, at the sum of $441.18, at an approximate rate per front foot of $0.1012956.
Maintenance of Parking District No. 16, created by Council Resolution No. 356, Bab-
cock street from Rlack Avenue to Tracy Avenue, a total area of 93773 square feet, the sum
of $30.42, at an approximate rate per square foot of $0.0003244.
Maintenance of Parking District No. 17, created by Council Resolution No. 355, Grand
Avenue from Babcock Street to Colle~e Street, a total area of 581481 square feet, the sum
of $278.56, at an approximate rate per square foot of $0.0004791-
Maintenance of Parkin~ District No. 18, created by ~ouncl1 Resolution No. 357, Tracy
Avenue from Babcock Street to Dickerson Street, a total area of 457782.2 square feet, the
sum of $155.07, at an approximate rate per square foot of $u.00033874.
Maintenance of Parking District No. 31, created by Council Resolution No. 385, Black
Avenue from Babcock Street to College Street, a total area"of 267E393 square feet, the sum
of $301.34, at an approximate rate per square foot of $0.001125.
Maintenance of Parking District No. 45, created by Council Resolution No. 432, Eighth
Avenue from Koch Street to Dickerson Street, a total ar0a of 66000 square feet, the sum
of $57.95, at an approximate rate per square foot of $0.000878.

Avenue from Main Street to Koch Street, a total area of 116104 square feet, the sum of
$155.20, at an approximate rate per square foot of $0.0013367.
Maintenance of farking District No. 50, created by Council Resolution No. 474, Third
Avenue from Story Street to Cleveland ,street, a total area of 378774 square feet, the sum
of $181.59, at an approximRte rate per square foot of $0.0004794.
Maintenance of Parking District No. 52, created by Council Resolution No. 476, Babcock
Street from Fifth Avenue to Ei~hth Avenue, a total arAa of 174600 square feet, the sum of
$88.42, at an approximate rate--per square foot of $0.0005064. .

Improvement Districts for the year 1946, there be and there is hereby levied and
assessed
a tax upon all the property in front of and bordering on said Special Improvement Districts
as set forth in Schedule One to Twenty-one inclusive, hereto attached and made a part hereof;
tha t a partiC1Jlar description of each lot and parcel of land wi th the name of the owner and
the sum assessed against him or it, is set forth in assessment lists hereto attached, marked
"Schedules One ( 1 ) to Twen ty-one (21)" and made a part thereof;

Section 3. That the regular session of the Commission of 'l'he Ci t~' of Bozeman to be
held on the 26th day of July, 1946, at the Commission Chamber, City liall Building,

the same is hereby designated as the time and place at which objections to the

tion of this Resolution will be heard by the Commission.

Section 4. Tha t the Clerk of the Commis sion be, and he is hereby ordered and directed
to publish in the Bozeman Daily Chronicle, a daily newspaper, printed and published in the
City of Bozeman, a notice signed by the Clerk of the Commission, and s ta ting
that a resolu-
tion levying a special assessment of taxes to defray the cost of maintenance of parkings
in the said Special Improvement Districts for the year 1946, is on file in the office of
I the Clerk of the Commission, subject to inspection for a period of five days; th:':tt said
notice shall st8te the time and place at which objections will be heard by the Commission
to the final adoption of this Resolution; that it shall be published at least five days
before the date set by the Commission for hearing objections, and the final adoption of
this Resolution.
Provisionally passed and adopted by the Commission of The City of B07eman at a reg':lar
meeting of said Commission, ,July 19th, 1946.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, Tha tat a regular session of the Commission of 'lhe City of
Bozeman held on the 19th day of July, 1946, Commission Resolution No.
579 was duly passed
and adopted; th:.t said Commissjon Resolution No. 579 levies and assesses a special assess-
ment of taxes upon all the property in Special Improvement Districts of said City to defray
the cost of Maintenance of Farkings within said Special Improvement Districts for the year
1946.
That the Special Improvement Districts and the Resolutions creating the same, and the
amount of the assessments are as follows:

said Resolution will be finally passed and adopted at said regular session of said Commis-
sion, subject to such corrections and amendments as may be made upon objections made and
filed within the five days limit as provided by law.
All persons interested are referred to the severa.1 Council and Commis sian Resolu tions
