HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 626 Lighting District Improvements, No. 100. 284. 288. 289. 290. 295. 300 30 COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 626 A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN, MONTANA, LEVYING A1~ ASSESS- ING LIGHTING DISTRICT MAINTENANCE AND ELECTRICAL CURFENT COSTS FOR SPECIAL IMPROVE- MENT LIGHTING DISTRICTS NU~ffiERS lUO, 284, 288, 289, 290, 295, AND 300 OF ~m CITY OF BOZEMAN, PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION 5266 R.C.M., 1935. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN Section 1. That pursuant to .the direction and by authority of the provisions of Section 5266, R.O.M., 1935, and upon estimates of such cost made by said City Commission I as authorized and directed by said Section 5266, R.C.M., 1935, to defray the cost of maintaining and lighting systems and for electrical current in the several Special Improvement Lighting Districts of The City of Bozeman hereinafter specified, there is hereby levied and assessed against property and the several lots, pieces and parcels . thereof, within the boundaries of Special Improvement Lighting Districts NO's. 100, 284, 288, 289, 29U, 295, and 300 of The City of Bozeman respectively, as heretofore created and established, the total amounts as to each entire district and the several amounts as to each lot, piece, or parcel of land within the boundaries of such district, as set forth in the several schedules attached hereto and made a part hereof and marked separ- ately for identification as Schedule A, for Special Improvement Lighting District No. 100 (Main street); Schedule B, for S.I.L.D. No. 284, (Cleveland Street); Schedule C, for S.l.L.D. No. 288, (Tracy Ave. So.); Schedule D, for S.I.L.D. No. 289, (No. Bozeman Ave.); Schedule E, for S.l.L.D. No. 290, (So. Black Ave.); Schedule F, for S.I.L.D. No. 295, (Willson Ave. So.); and Schedule G, for S.I.L.D. No. 300, (No. Willson Ave.). That the amount so levied and assessed is 75% of such estimated cost for each and all of said Districts except S.I.L.D. No. 100, and as to such District the levy and assess- I ment is 50% of such estimated cost. Section 2. That a particular description of each lot, piece, or parcel of land with the name of the owner thereof and the sum assessed and levied against such property and owner, or either, is. set forth in the schedule for each district as specified and identified in Section 1, of this Resolution, and made a part of this Resolution as aforesaid. See tion 3. That the regular meeting of the Commission of the City of Bozeman to be held on the 25th day of August, 1948, at 1:00 o'clock P.M. at the Commission Chamber Ci ty Hall Building, in The City of Boz eman, be, and .the same is hereby designa ted as the time and place at which objections to the final adoption of this Resolution will be heard and considered by said City Commission. Section 4. That the Clerk of the Commission be, and he is hereby ordered and directed to publish in the Bozeman Daily Chronicle, a daily newspaper of general circulation printed and published in said City of. Bozeman, a notice signed by said Clerk as such, which notice shall sta te tha t this Resolution, levying and assessing the several amounts as set forth I in the Schedules attached hereto and made a part hereof as aforesaid, and for the purposes herein stated, has been provisionally passed and adopted by the Commission of The City of Bozeman and is on file on the office of said Clerk and subject to inspection during regular office hours, f9r a period of five days from and after the publication of such notice and at any time during. such office hours and at or prior to the regular meeting of the City Commission to be held on the 25th day of August, 1948, as stated in Section 3 hereof; that said notice shall be so published once, and such publication shall be made - - .- ......- .- .n. _.."._ _ ._. ---.-..---.--. .-... 3t not less than five days before the time set for hearing and considering objections to the final adoption of this Resolution as aforesaid. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, That at a regular meeting of the Commission of the City of Bozeman, Montana, held on the 18th day of August, 1948, Commission Resolution No. 626 was provisionally passed and adopted. Said Resolution levies and assesses a special assessment upon all the property in Special Improvement Lighting Districts No's. 100 I (Main Street); 284, {Cleveland street}; 288, (Tracy Ave. So.); 289, {No. Bozeman Ave.}; 290, (So. Black Ave.); 295, (So. Willson Ave.); and 3UO, {No.. Willson Ave.}; to defray the estimated cost of maintenance and elec.trical current 'for each of said districts, pursuant to the provisions of Section 5266, RCM 1935. The portion of such cost assessed is 75% as to all of said districts except District No. 100 (Main Street) and as to such district the portion of the cost assessed is 50%. NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN, That said Commission Resolution No. 626 is now on file in the office of the Clerk of. the Commission, City Hall, Bozeman, Montana, and subject to inspection of all persons interested for a period of five (5) ~ays; that Wedn.esday, the 25th day of Augu'st, 1948, at 1 :00 0' clook P.M. of said day a t a regular session of the Commission of the City of Bozeman, Commission Room, City Hall Buildtng, has been desig- nated as the time and place when and where said Commission will hear and pass upon any and all objections that may be made to the fianl passage and adoption of said Commission Resolution No. 626. Reference is made to Council Resolution No.. 647, and -Commission Resolutions No's. 214, 284, 285, 286, 305, and 316, creating the Special Improvement Lighting Districts above enumerated, which resolutions are on file on the office of I said Clerk, subject to public inspection during regular office hours.
