JOINT RESOLUTION NO. (City) 618
AN AGREEMENT AND JOINT RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN,
MONTANA, AND OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF GALLATIN COUNTY, MONTANA, IN
REGULAR SESSION ASSEMBLED', AMENDING JOINT RESOLUTION NO. (CITY) 518 ENTITLED: "AN
AGRREMENT AND JOINT RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN, MONT-
ANA, AND OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF GALLATIN COUNTY, MONTANA, IN REG-
ULAR SESSION ASSEMBLED, CREATING A JOINT BOARD AND CONFERRING UPON SAID JOINT BOARD
JURISDICTION FOR THE IMPROVEMENT, EQUIPMENT, MAINTENANCE AND OPERATION OF GALLATIN
I FIELD, OTHERWISE KNOWN AS BOZEMAN AIRPORT, PURSUANT TO A JOINT RESOLUTION OF SAID
CITY COMMISSION AND SAID BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS, ADOPTED BY SAID CITY COMM-
ISSION IN REGULAR SESSION ASSEMBLED ON THE 3RD DAY OF JULY, 1942, BY SAID BOARD OF
COUNTY COMMISSIONERS IN REGULAR SESSION ASSEMBLED ON THE 22ND DAY OF JULY, 1942, AND
A ALSO PURSUANT TO THE AUTHORITY AND POWER SO TO DO CONFERRED BY THE PROVISIONS OF
CHAPTER 420 OF THE POLITICAL CODE, REVISED CODES OF MONTANA, 1935, AS AMENDED BY
CHAPTER 54 OF THE LAWS OF THE 27TH LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF MONTANA,
1941."
IT IS RESOLVED AND AGREED BY THE CITY OF BOZEMAN AND THE COUNTY OF GALLATIN
ACTING BY THEIR RESPECTIVE GOVERNING BODIES, NAMELY, THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF BOZEMAN IN REGULAR SESSION ASSEMBLED AND THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
GALLATIN COUNTY IN REGULAR SESSION ASSEMBLED, AS FOLLOWS:
Section One. That Article I of the Joint Resolution Number (City) 518 be, and the
same is, hereby amended to read as follows:

Creation of Joint Board.
That there is hereby created, pursuant to the laws of The State of Montana in such
case made and provided and specified in the preamble hereto, an Airport Board to have
and which shall have, jurisdiction for the improvement, equipment, maintenance, and
operation of said Gallatin Field or Bozeman Airport located upon land owned jointly
by The City of Bozeman and the County of Gallatin near the town of Belgrade, Gallatin
County, Montana, which Airport Board shall be designated and known as the ttGallatin
Field Board.tt
I Section Two. That Article III of Joint Resolution Number (City) 518 be, and the
. same is, hereby amended to delete the last full paragraph thereof requiring members
of the Airport Board to execute a Surety Company bond and to read as follows:
III
Term of Office.
That the terms of office of the aforesaid members of said Airport Board shall be
as follows: John Buttelman and Gardner Waite shall hold office for the term of three
(3) years; Dean Chaffin and Sam C. Allen shall hold office for the term of two (2)
years; and Leon D. Conkling shall hold office for the term of one (l) year. That the
term of office of each of such Airport Board members shall begin July 30, 1942, and
each shall hold until his successor is elected and qualified. The term of each Air-
port Board Member after the first ones hereby appointed, and at the expiration of the
terms herein specified shall be for three (3) years from and after the date of his
appointment and qualification and until his successor shall be appointed and qualified.
Each such memBer shall qualify by taking and subscribing the sonstitutional oath of
office in duplicate, one of which shall be filed with the County Clerk and Recorder of
Gallatin County and the other with the Clerk of the City Commission of The City of
Bozeman.
Passed and adopted by the unanimous vote of the City Commission of the City
of Bozeman in regular session on the 28th day of January, 1948.
