HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 653 Taxable Property, Year 1950 119 COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 653 A RESOLUTION OF THE CO~~ISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN DETERMINING THE AMOUNT OF CITY TAXES FOR ALL PURPOSES, GENERAL AND SPECIAL, TO BE LEVIED AND ASSESSED ON TAXABLE PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF BOZEMAN, STATE OF MONTANA, FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING JUNE 30TH, 195U. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN: Section 1. That, pursuant to the provisions of Section 5194, Political Code, Revised I Codes of Montana, 1935, as amended by Chapter 48, Laws of 1937, there is hereby levied and assessed on the taxable percentum of the assessed value of the taxable property of The City of Bozeman, State of Montana, as fixed and found by the Board of County Commissioners of Gallatin County, Montana, sitting as a County Board of Equalization for the current fiscal year of 1949, a tax of 22 Mills for General MUnicipa1'and Administrative purposes, and for street and alley maintenance (Section 5194, Political Code, Revised Codes of Montana, 1935). Section 2. That, pursuant to the provisions of Section 5049, Political Code, Revised Codes of Montana, 1935, there is hereby levied and assessed on the taKable percentum of the assessed value of the taxaple property of The City of Bozeman, State of Montana, for the current fiscal year of 1949, for the support and maintenance of the free public library of The City of Bozeman, a special tax of 3 Mills on each dollar of the taxable percentum of the assessed value thereof and the money derived therefrom shall be paid into the Library Fund and shall be disbursed as provided by Ordinance No. 79 and Ordinance No. 524, as amended, of said City. Section 3. That, pursuant to the provisions of Section 5194, Political Coda, Revised Codes of Montana, 1935, as amended by Chapter 48, Laws of 1937, there is hereby levied and I assessed on the taxable percentum of the assessed value of the taxable property of The Ci~y of Bozeman, State of Montana, for the current fiscal year 1949, for the purpose of maintain- ing public parks in said City, a special tax of5 Mills on the taxable percentum of the assessed value of the- taxable property of The Ci ty of Bozeman and the money derIved there- from shall be paid into the Park Fund and shall be disbursed as provided by Ordinanoe No. 473, and Ordinance No. 524, as amended, of said C~ty. Section. 4. Tha t, pursuant to the provisions of Section 5048, Poli tical Code, Revised Codes of Montana, 1935, there is hereby levied and assessed on the taxable percentum of the assessed value of the taxable property within the City of Bozeman, State of Montana, for the current fiscal year 1949, for the purpose of providing band concerts for the entertainment of the people of said City and fixed charges in connection therewith, a special tax of 0.5 Mills on each dollar of the taxable percentum of the assessed value of the taxable property of The City of Bozeman and the money derived therefrom shall be paid into the Band Concert Fund of said City and shall be disbursed as provided by Ordinance No. 709 and Ordinance No. 524, as amended, of said City. Section 5. That, pursuant to the provisions of Section 5119, Political Code, Revised I Codes of Montana, 1935, as amended by Chapter 159, Laws of 1945, there is hereby levied and assessed upon the taxable percentum of the assessed valuation of all taxable property with- in the limits of The City of Bozeman for the year 1949, a special tax of 0.1 Millon the dollar of such taxable percentum of the assessed valuation for the purpose of m.aintain1ng the Disability and Pension Fund of the Fire Department Relief Association of The City of Bozeman, and said tax when BO colleoted shall be paid into the Disability and Pension Fund of the Fire Department Relief Association of The City of Bozeman. . -...- 120 Section 6. That, pursuant to the provisions of Section 510S.9, Revised Codes of Montana, 1935, there is hereby levied and assessed upon the taxable percentum of the assessed value of all property within The City of Bozeman for the current fiscal year of 1949, a special tax of 0.5 Mills and the m.oney derived therefrom shall be paid into the police Reserve Fund pursuant to the provisions of Commission Resolution No. 451. Section 7. That, pursuant to the provisions of Section 5216, Revised Codes of Montana, I 1935, the total levy of taxes for the current fiscal year of 1949, by reason of the fore- going determination, will and shall be as follows: General and Administrative purposes (Including streets and alleys) (Sec. 1) 22.0 Mills Maintenance of Free Public Library (Sec. 2) 3,0 Mills Maintenance of Public Parks (Sec. 3) 5.0 Mills Public Band Concerts ($ec. 4) 0.5 Mills Maintenance Disability & Pension Fund Fire Dept. Relief Association (Sec. 5) 0.1 Mills Police Reserve Fund ( Sec. 6) 0.5 Mills 31.1 Mills Passed and adopted by the Commission of The City of Bozeman at a regular session there- of held on the 3rd day of August, 1949 A.D.
