HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 690 Temporary Housing Project buildings 227 COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 690 A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMISSION OF TrE CITY OF BOZEMAN, MONTANA, UNCONDITIONALLY WAIVING THE REQUIREMENTS FOR REMOVAL BY THE PUBLIC HOUSING ADMINISTRATOR CONTAINED IN SECTION 313, PUBLIC LAW 849, 75TH CONGRESS, AS AMENDED, OF THE TEMPORARY HOUSING PROJECT BUILD- INGS DESIGNATED AS MONTANA-V-24068, BOZEMAN, MONTANA. WI-TEREA S , there has been presented to the C1 ty Commission of the Ci ty I of Bozeman, Mnntana, a proposal by Gallatin Post No. 14 of the American Legion Department of Montana, which proposes that the Legion shall apply, under the provisions of the Federal housing Act of 1950, to the Federal Gnvernment for the transfer by the United States Government to The Legion of all its right, title and interest in and to that certaIn temporary housing project designated as Montana-V-24068, Bozeman, Montana, of the City of Bozeman, Gallatin County, Montana; and WHEREAS, a prerequIsi te to such application is a Resolution of this Commission unconditionally waiving the requirement contained in Section 313, Public Law 849, 75th Congrese, as amended, for removal by tLe Public Housin~ Adrninstrator of this housing project; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City of Bozeman to cooperate fully with The Legion in the continuance of this housing project and to that end the City is willing to waive the requirement contained in Section 313, Public Law 849, 75th Congress, as amended, for removal by the Public Housing Administrator of this housing project. I NOW TfIEREFORE, be it re sol ved by the Commis sion of the Ci ty of Bozeman; Section 1 That the requirement for removal by the Public Housing Administrator of the aforesaid housing project, contained in Section 313, Public Law 849, 75th Congress, as amended, be and the same is hereby unconditionally waived by this Commission as it concerns the aforesaid housin~ project designated as Montana-V-23068, Bozeman, Montana. Section 2 That the above waiver is made and may only be effective if The Legion applies for the transfer of all of the right, title, and interest of the United States Government in and to said temporary housing project buildings, and if such transfer is approved and actually made. Passed and adopted by the Commission of The City of Bozeman at a regular session thereof held on the 11th day of October, 1950.
