HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 685 Assessing Lighting District Taxes 210 COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 685 A RESOLUTION OIi' THE COMMISSION OF THE: CITY OF BOZE1\i'AN, MONTANA, LEVYING AND ASSESSING LIGT'TING DISTRICT MAINTENANCE AND ELECTRICAL CURRENT COSTS FOR SPECIAL IMPROVE1\ifENT LIGHTING DISTRICTS NUMBERS 361, 284, 288, 289, 290,295, and 3uO OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN, PURSUANT TO THE PRO+ VISIONS OF SECTIONS 5266 R.C.M., 1935. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN See tion 1. That pursuant to the direction and by authority of the I provisions of Section 5266, R. C.M., 1935, and upon estimates of such cost made by said City Commission as authorized and directed by said Section 5266, R.C.M., 1935, to defray the cost of maintaining lighting systems and for electrical current in the several Special Improvement Lighting Districts of the City of Bozeman hereinafter specified, ther is hereby levied and assessed aga ins t property and the severa 1 lots, pIeces and parcels thereof, within the boundaries of SpeciaJ Improvement Lighting Districts Nos. 361, 284, 288, 289, 290, 295, and 300 of the City of Bozeman respectively, a3 heretofore created and est8blished, the to tal amoun ts as to each entire district and the severa 1 smoun ts as to each lot, piece, or parcel of land within the boundaries of such district, as set forth in the several schedules attAched hereto and made s part hereof and marked separately for identification as Schedule A, for S.I.L.D. No. 361 (Main Street); SChedule B, for S.I.L.D. No. 284 (Cleveland Street); Schedule C, for S.I.L.D. No. 288 (S. Tracy Ave.); Schedule D, for S.l.L.D. No. 289 (No. Bozeman Ave.); Schedule E. for S.l.L.D. No. 290 ( S. Black Ave.); Schedule F. for S.I.L.D. No. 295 (Willson Ave. S.); and Schedule I G for S.l.L.D. No. 300 (N. Willson Ave.); The Amount so levied and assessed is 75~ of such estimated cost for each and all of said Districts except S.I.L.D. No. 361, and as to such District the levy and assessment Is 50% of such estimated cost. Section 2. That a particular description of each lot, piece or parcel of land with the name of the owner thereof, and the sum assessed and levied against such property and owner, or e1 ther, is set forth in the schedule of each district as specified and identified in Section 1. of this Resolution, and made a part of this Resolution as aforesaid. Section 3. That the re~Jlar meeting of the Commission of the City of Bozeman to be held on the September 20th, 195U, at 1:00 o'clock P.M. at the Commission Chamber, City Hall Building, in the City of Bozeman, be, and the same is hereby designated as the time and place at which objections to the final adoption of this Resolution will be heard and considered by said City Commission. Section 4. That the Clerk of the Commission be, and he is hereby I ordered and directed to publish in the Bozeman Daily Chronicle, a daily newspaper of general circulation printed and published in said City of Bozeman, a notice signed by said Clerk as such, which notice shall state that this resolution, levyin~ and assessing the several amounts as set forth in the Schedule att''lched hereto and made a part hereof as aforesaid, and for the purposes herein stated, has been provisionally passed and adopted by the Commission of the Ci ty of Bozeman and is on file in the office of said Clerk and subject to inspection during regular office hours, for a period 211 of five days from and after the publication of such notice and at any time during such office hours and a t or prior to the regular meeting of the Ci ty Commission to pe held on September 20th, 195U as stated in Section 3 hereof; that said Notice shall be so published once, and such pubiliicatlon shall be made not less than five days before the time set for hearing and considering objections to I the final adoption of this Resolution as aforesaid. pro. visionally passed and adopted by the Commission of the City of Bozeman a tare gula r mee tlng of sa ld Comml as lon on Sep tembe r 13th, / ~. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that at a regular meeting of the Commission of the City of Bozeman, Montana, held on the 13th day of September, 195u Commission Resolution No. 685 was provisionally passed and adopted. Said Resolution levies I and assesses a special assessment upon all the property in spe.Cial Improvement Lighting Districts Nos. 361, (Maim St.); 284, (Cleveland ST.); 288, (3. Tracy Ave.); 289 (N. Bozeman Ave.); 29U, (S. Black Ave.); 295, (3. Willson Ave.); and 300, (N. Willson Ave.), to defray estimated cost of maintenance and electrical current for each of said Districts, pursuant to the provisions of Sectinn 5266, RCM 1935, The portion of such cost assessed 1S 75% as to all of said districts except District No. 361 (Main Street) and as to such district the portion of the cost assessed is 5U%. Resolution No. 685 212 NOTIC'i~ IS FURTHER GIVEN that said Commission Resolntion No. 685 1s now on file in the office of the Clerk of the Commission, City Hall, Bozeman, Montana, And sub~ect to inspection of all persons interested for a period of five d,ys; tha t Wednesday, the 20th day of September, 195U, at l:ou o'clock P.M. of said day at a regular session of the Commission of the City of Bozeman, Commission Room, City Hall Building, has been designated as the time and I place when and where said Commission wlll hear arid pass upon any and all objections tha t may be made to the final passage and adoption of said Commission Resolution No. 685. Reference is made to Commission Resolutions Nos. 677, 214, 284, 2~5, 286, 305, and 316 creating the Special Improvement Lighting Districts above enumerated, which resoiutions are on file in the office of said Clerk, sub.1 ec t to public inspec tion during regular office hours.
