A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMISSION 01" THE CITY OF BOZEMAN, LEVYING AND ASSESSING

PARKING WITHIN SAID SPECIAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICTS OF THE CITY
OF BOZEMAN
FOR THE YEAR 1950.
WHEREAS the City Council and the Commission of the City of
Bozeman have I
heretofore d~lY and regularly passed 60uncll and Commission Resolutions
creating Special Improvement Districts within the City of Bozeman, defining
the boundaries thereof and providing for the maintenance of parkings therein,
and for the assessment of the cos t of maintaining tue parK.i..ngs as set forth
in Resolutions hereinafter referred tQ; and
WHEREAS,
the parking within the boundaries of said Special Improvement
Districts have been cared for and ma~ntained during the year 1950, as
con templa ted in sa id Reso1u tion, :1.n accordance wi th terms and c ondi tions
thereof; and
WHEREAS,
said Special Improvement Districts for the maintenance of parkings
and the Resolu tions crea t1.ng the same,
the total frontage or the area, of the
property within said districts to be assessed,
the total cost of said main-
tenance within said districts and the amrnlnt chargeable to the property therelQ,
is hereinafter set forth.
NOW,
THEREFOPE, pursuant to tr'e provisions of Section 5242, Political
Code, R.C.M., 1935, and sa.id Council and Commission Resolutions, creating said
Special Improvement Districts and providing for the maintenance thereof;

BE IT RESOLVED AND IT IS HEREBY ORDERED BY THE COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF BOZEM.AN, STATE OF MONTANA:
Section 1.
That for the Year 1950, the City of
Bozeman has defrayed
the cost ($4461. 55) of Maintenance of parklngs in the several Special Improve-
men t Dis tric ts, pursuan t to Reso1u tions crea ting the same, and the t the entire
cos t thereof,
the total number of lineal feet, or area, of the property to
be assessed, and the rate per linear foot or square foot, is as follows,
to-wit:

Section 2. That to defray the cost of maintenance of
parkings within said
Special Improvement Districts for the year 1950,
there be and there is hereby
levied and assessed a tax upon all the property in front of and bordering pn
said Special Improvement Districts as set forth in Sohedules One to Twenty-One
inclusive, hereto attached and made a part hereof;
tha t a particular description
of each lot and parcel of iand with the name of the owner and the sum assessed
ap.;alnst hl"TJ or it, is set forth in assessment lists
hereto attached, marked
"Schedules One (1) to Twenty-one (21)" and made a part
thereof; that the several
sums set opposite the names of the owners and the described lots and parcels of
land be, and the same are hereby leveied and assessed upon and against said lots
and parcels of land; that the several sums be collected
from the respective
owners of said lots and parcels of land described in the said assessment
I
lists, Schedules One to Twenty-one inclusive, as required by law;
tha t said
sums shall be paid and the collection thereof
shall be made in the manner
and in accordance with the law governing the collection
of Special Improve-
ment taxes; tha t fa 11ure to pay
such assessments when same shall become due
and payable shall make such person and such lots and parcels of land liable
to the penalties provided by law relative to delinquent taxes.
Section 3. That the regular session of the Commission
of the City of
Bozeman to be held on the 2uth day of September, 195U, at the Commission
Chamber, City Hall Building, be, and the same is hereby designated
as the
time and place a t which objections to the final adoption of this Resolu tion
will be heard by the Commission.
Section" 4. That the Clerk of the Commission be, and
he is hereby
ordered and directed to publish in the Bozeman Daily
Chronicle, a daily
newspaper, printed and published in the City of Bozeman, a notice
signed
by the Clerk of tne Commission, and stating that a resolution levying a
special assessment of taxes to defray the cost of maintenance of parkings

in the said Special Improvement Districts for the year 1950,
is on file in
the office of the Clerk of the Commission,
subject to inspection for a period
of five da ys;
that said notice shall state
the tl~e and place at which
objections will be heard by the Commission to the final adoption of this
Resolu tion; that it shall be published at least five days before
the aate
set by the Commission for hearing objections, and the final adoption of

provisionally passed and adopted by the Commission of the City of
Bozeman at a regular meeting of said Commission, September

TRICTS FOR THE YEAR 1950.
NOTICE IS HEREB"'
GIVEN, that at a regular session of
the Commission
of the City of Bozeman held on the 13th day of September,
1950,
Commission
Resolution No. 684 was duly passed and adopted;
that said
Commission
Resolution No. 684 levies and assesses a special assessment of taxes upon all
the property in Special Improvement Districts of said City to defray the
cost of Maintenance of Parkings within said Special Improvement Districts
for the year 1950.
Tha t the Spec ial Improvemen t Dis tric ts and the Resolutions crea ting the
same, and the amount of the assessments are as follows:

That said Commission Resolution No. 684 is now
on file in the office of
the Clerk of the Commission of the said City of
Bozeman subject to inspection
for a period of five days, by any person interested;
that Wednesday, the
20th day of September, 1950, at l:UOo'clock P.M. of said
Day at a regular
session of the Commission of the City of Bozeman,
Commission Chamber, City
Hall Building, has been designated as the time and place
when and where
said CommissIon will hear and pass upon any and all objections that may be
madeto the final passage and adoption of said Commission Resolution No. 684
and the levying of said assessment; and that, said Resolution will be finally
passed and adopted at said regular session of said Commission subject to
such corrections and amendments as may be made upon objections made and
filed within the five days li~it as provided by law.
All persons interested are referred to the Several Council and Commission
Resolutions creating the aforesaid Special Improvement Districts, defining
the boundaries thereof and providing for the assessment of the cost of said

maintenance of parkings. For further particulars,
all of said Resolutions
being on file in the office of the Clerk 0 f the
Commission of the City
of Bozeman, at the City Hall of said City,
and subject to inspection of all
interested parties.
