HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 712 Declaring Bozeman to be a City of the First Class 291 COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 712 A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN, MONTANA, DECLARING THE SAID CITY OF BOZEMAN TO BE A CITY OF THE FIRST CLASS WHEREAS, Title eleven, Chapter two, Section 11.201, Revised Codes of Montana, 1947, provides that "Everycity having a population of ten thousand or more is a city of the I first class...."; and WHEREAS, it manifestly appears to the City Commission of the City of Bozeman from the official 1950. census figures for said City of Bozeman published by the United States Bureau of Census that said City of Bozeman now has a population of ten thousand or more, said United States Bureau of Census population figure for the said City of Bozeman being eleven thousand three hundred twenty-five; NOW, rrHEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF frHE CITY OF BOZEMAN: That pursuant to Title eleven, Chapter three, Sections 11-301 and 11-)02, Revised Codes of Montana, 1947, it is hereby declared by the City Commission of the City of Bozeman that the City of Bozeman is, and the same is hereby, advanced from a city of the second class to a city of the first class, and that all benefits and privileges accuring to a city of the first class shall accrue to the said City of Bozeman from and after the passage of this Resolution. Passed and adopted by the City Commission at its regular meeting held on the 29th day of August, 1951. I /L / / -# .~. / Attest:.
