A RESOLTT'T'ION OF' THE COM~fISSION OF THE CITY OF nOZgMAN EXTENDING
TEE BOUNDARIES OF Tm~ SAID CITY OF BOZEMAN SO AS TO EMBRACE AND
INCLUDE
A TR i\CT OF LAND CONTTGUOUS TO TH-r. SAID CITY OF R(\ZEMAN AND
HEREIN MORE
PARTICULARtJY'DESCRIBED WITHIN T~TE CORPORATE LIMITS THEREOF.

there has been presented to the City Commission of
the City
of Bozeman, a verbal request petitioning the said City Commission
to extend

the boundaries of the City of Bozeman so as
to include a certain contiguous
tract of land within the boundaries of the City
of Bozeman; and

the proper legal description of said contiguous tract is
as
follows:
All that portion of the Northwest Quarter of Section Eighteen,
Township Two South, Range 5 East, M.P.M. included within the
fOllow-
ing metes and bounds: - ,
Bep:inning at the intersection of the center line of Cleveland
Street and the East line of Butte Addition south of Cleveland
~treet
as platted in Butte Addition to the City of Bozeman;
thence eas terly
along the center line of Cleveland Street 230'
to the east line of
SOlJ th Tra c y A venue;
thence sou therly along the east line of Sou th
Trac y- A venue 399.7';
thence along a 320.75' radius
curve to tte right

trence southwesterly 257.02' to the south line

to the point of Beginning; and

the City Commission of the said City of Bozemanhas, by its
Resolution No. 699, regularly passed and adopted on the 22nd day of November,
A.D. 1950,
declared it to be to the best interests of the said City
of Bozeman
and the inhabitants thereof and of the inhabi tants of the
contiguous t ra c t
hereinbefore described that the boundaries of the
said City of Bozeman be

extended so as to include said contiguous tract; and
WHERI~AS , the
Clerk of the City Commission has, pursuan t to the provis ions
of Section 11-403,
Subsec tion 2,
Revised Codes of Montana, 1947 ,
given the
required notice to property owners and caused to be published
the required
public notice of such proposed extension of the boundaries of said City of
Bozeman; and
WHEREAS,
twenty (20) days have expired since the
date of the first
publication of s~ld notice and no expressions of disapproval of the proposed
extension of the boundaries of the said City of Bozeman have been received.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
BOZEMAN:
Section 1.
That pursuant to the aut!;ority vested in
the City Commission
of the City of Bozeman by Section 11-403, Subsection
2, Revised Codes of
Mon tana , 1947 ,
it is herebv declared that the boundaries
of the said City of
Bozeman shall be extended so as to embrace and include
within the boundRries
and corporate limits of the said City of Bozeman the
tract contiguous

thereto and hereinbefore described.
Section 2. Tha
t thisResoh~ tion shall be, and
the same is hereby
declared to be effective as of the date of its
passage and adoption.
Passed and adopted by the Commission of The City of Bozeman at
a
regular session held on the 20th day of December, A.D.
