A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMISSION OF THE CI'rY OF BOZEMAN, MONTANA, LEVYING AND
ASSESSING A SPECIAL ASSESSMENT OF TAXES UPON ALL REAL PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF BOZ""
EMAN, COUN'ry OF GALlATIN, STATI OF MONTANA, SERVICED AND FROM WHICH GARBAGE WAS
COLLECTED AND REMOVED DURING THE YEAR 1952, TO DEF'RAY THE COST AND EXPENSE OF
COLLECTING AND DISPOSING OF GARBAGE UNDER THE PROVISIONS OP ORDINANCE NO. 696
of THE CITY OF BOZEMAN.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Bozeman did on the 8th day of January,
I 1940, duly and regularly
pass Ordinance No. 696, entitled:
AN ORDINANCE DEFINING
GARBAGE FOR 'rHE PURPO:m OF THIS ORDINANCE; PROVIDING
FOR THE COLLECTION
AND DISPOSITION THEF.EOF BY AND UNDER 'rHE SUPERVISION AND
CONTROL OF THE DEPARTMENT
OF PUBLIC WELFARE AND FOR DEFRAYING THE COST OF
SUCH COLLECTION AND DISPOSITION BY SPECIAL ASSESSMENT AGAINS'r THE PROPER1ry TO
WHICH SUCH SERVICE IS RENDERED, AND PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR BIOLATION OF
THIS ORDINANCE,
which Ordinance No~ 696, passed
as aforesaid is hereby referred to and made a part of
this Resolution for further
particulars in respect to the basis and method of assessing
of the cost against the property
herein assessed, and
WHEREAS, said expense incurred by said City in the collection and disposition of
garbage in accordna.nce with
said Ordinance is hereby estimated by the CommissIon of The
City of Bozeman to be the sum
of Twenty-Four Thousand Seventy eight Dollars and Eighty
four cents
($24,078.84), for the year 1952, over and above all money collected from
business and professional concerns,
or combined residence and business, or residence and
professional business concerns
in accordance with said Ordinance No. 696, and
WHEREAS, in order to raise said sum to defray the said cost,
it is necessary to
establish the basic unit rate
as defined in said Ordinance No. 696 at Eight Dollars ($8.00) .

NOW, 'rHEREFORE, pursuant to the provisions of said Ordinanc e No. 696, and
the laws
of the Stateof Montana,
BE IT RESOLVED AND
IT IS HEREBY ORDERED BY THE COMMISSION OF 'rHE CITY OF
BOZEMAN, STATE OF MJNTANA:
Section 1. That to defray the estimated cost and expense of collecti~g and dispos-
ing of garbage in the Oity
of Bozeman for the year 1952, thereif hereby levied and assessed
against the property and the
several lots, pieces and parcels of land thereof within the
City of Bo 7,ems.n as set forth
in Schedule "A", which is attached hereto and made a part
hereof, a tax;
that a particular description of each lot and parcel of land with
the
name of the owner and/or owners
and the sum assessed against the same is set forth in
the assessment list in said
Schedule "A"; that the several sums set opposite the names
of said owners and the described
lots and parcels of land, be, and the same are hereby
levied and assessed upon and
against said lots and parcels of land for said purpose;
that the sev8ral sumsbe collected
from the respective owners of said lots and parcels of
land dexcribed in said assessment
list andowned by them; that the said
sums shall be
paid and the collection thereof
be made in the manner and in accordance with Ordinance
I No. 696 of the City
of Bozeman, Montana, and the laws of the State of MJntana governing
the collection of special improvement taxes;
thct failure to pay such assessment when
the same shall become due and payable shall make such persons and such lots and parcels
of land liable to the penalties
provided by law relative to delinquent taxes.
Section 2. That the regular session of the Commission of the City of Bozeman, Montana,
to be held in the Commission
Chamber in the City Hall of said City on the8th day of October,
1952,
at 1: o'clock P.M., be, and the same is hereby designated as the time and place at
which objections to the final
adoption of this Resolution will be heard by said Commis,,1ion.

Section 3. That the
C~rk of the Commission of the City of Bozeman be, and he is
hereby ordered and directed to publish in the Bozeman Daily Chronicle,
a daily newspaper
printed and published in said City of Bozeman,
a notice signed by the Clerk of the Com-
mission, stating that a resolution
levying and assessing a special assessment of taxes
to defray the cost and expense of the collection and disposition of garbage in the City
of Bozeman for the year 1952,
against the property to which such service was rendered, is

on file in the office of the Clerk of the Commission,
subject to inspection for a period
of five days; that said
Notice shall state the time and place at which objections will be
heard by the Commission to the final adoption of this Resolution;
and the t said Notice sOil
be published at least five days before the
date set by the Commission for hearing of ob-
jections and the final adoption of this Resolution.
Provisionally passed and adopted by the Commission of the City of Bozeman at a regular
session thereof held on the 1st day of October, 1952.

YEAR 1952, AGAINST ALL PROPERTY IN THE CI~rY OF BOZEMAN TO WHICH SUCH SERVICE
WAS RENDERED.
NOTICE IS HEREGY GIVEN,
that at a regular session of the Commission of the City of
Bozeman held on the 1st day of October,
1952, Commission Resolution No.
725 was provision-
ally passed and adopted; that
said Resolution levies and assesses a special assessment of
taxes to defray the cost of collection and disposition of garbage in the City of Bozeman,
for the year 1952,
upon all property to which such service was rendered. That
sa id Com-
mission Resolution No.
725 is now on file in the office of the Clerk of the Commissio'1
of the City of Bozeman,
sub,ject to inspection of all persons interested, for a period of
five days; that Wednesday,
the 8th day of October, 19S2,
at 1:00 o'clock P.M. of said
day
at a regular session of the Commission of the City of Bozeman,
in the Commission Room, in
the Clty Hall Building,
has been designated as the time and place when and where said Com-
mission will hear and pass upon any and all objections
that may be made to the final pas-
sage and adoption of said Commlssion Resolution No.
725 and the ~ vying of sald assessment;

and that said Resolution will be finally passed and adopted at said regular session of
said Cormnission,
subject to such corrections and amendments that may bemade upon objec-
tions ma.de and filedwith theClerk of the Commission within the five days limit as provided
by law.
