A SPECIAL ASSESSMENT OF TAXES
UPON ALL THE PROPERTY IN STREET SPRINKLING
DI3'rRICTS OF 'rHE Crry OF
BOZEMAN, COUNTY OF GALLA'rIN, STATE OF MO"IIJTANA, TO

WHEREAS, the City Council
and the Commission of the City of Bozeman have heretofore
duly and regularly passed Council and Commission Resolutions creating Street Sprinkling
Districts within the City of Bozeman and defining the boundaries thereof and providing
for the assessment of the cost of sprinkling the same as set forth in Resolutions
hereinafter referred to; and
WFIEREAS, the streets within
the boundaries of said Street Sprinkling Districts
I have been sprinkled during the year 1954, as contemplated in said Hesolutions, in
accordance with the terms and conditions thereof; and
1NHEREAS, the Street Sprinkling Districts and
the Resolutions creating the same,
the total frontage of the property within said district to be assessed,
the total cost
of said sprinkling within said districts and the proportion thereof chargeable to the
property therein is hereinafter set fer th.
NOW 'rHEREFORE, Pursuant
to the provisions of Sections 11-2263 to 11-2267 inclusive,
Political Code, R.C.M., 1947 and Ordinance No.
295 and said Council and Commission
Resolutions creating said Street Sprinkling Districts;
BE IT RESOLVED AND IT IS
HER'~3Y ORDEHED f3Y THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY dF BOZEMAN,
STATE OF MONTANA:
Section 1.
That for the year 1954, the City of Bozeman has waived the sprinkling
assessments of the following districts: 130, 131,
132, 133, 134, 135, 136, 137, 13B, 139,
140, IJ~l, 142, 143, 144,
160, 161, 162, 163,
164, 192, 193, 194, 195, 196, 197, 198, 199,
204, 216, 217, 218,
219, 220, 232, 233,
23~, 235, 236,
237, 238, and 256; that for the
year 1954, the City of Bozeman has defrayed the cost ($1815.85)
of sprinkling streets
in the several street sprinkling districts pursuant to Resolutions creating the same,
I and that seventy-five per cent of the entire cost thereof ($1,361.89)exclusive of the
cost of sprinkling parks and public places,
the total nmber of linear feet of property
to be assessed, and the rate per linear foot,
is as follows, tp-wit:

a total frontage of 9355.9, the sum of $1,361.89.

Section 2. Trlat to defray seventy-five percent af the cost of sprinkling streets
within said street sprinkling districts for the year1954,
there be, and there is hereby
levied and assessed a tax upon all property in front of and bordering on said street sprink-
ling districts as set forth in Schedule One hereto attached and made a part hereof;
that a
particular description of each lot and parcel of land with the name
)f the owner and. the
sum assessed against him or it, is set forth in the assessment lists hereto
attached,

marked Schedule "One" and made a part hereof; that the several sums
set opposite the names
of the owners, and the described lots and parcels of land be,
and the same are hereby levied
and assessed upon and agalnst said lots and parcels of land;
that the several sums be
collected from the respective owners of said lots and parcels of land described in the said
assessment lists, Schedule One, as
required by law; that said sums shall be paid and the
collection thereof shall be made in the manner and in accordance with the law governing the
collection of special improvement taxes; that failure
to pay such assessments when the same
shall become due and payable shall make such persons and s11ch lots and parcels of land lialble
to the penalties provided by law relative to delinquent taxes.
Section 3. 'J'hat the regular session of the Commission of the City of Bozeman to be
held on the 13th day of October, 1951+,
at the Commission Chamber, City Hall Building, be,
and the same is hereby desir",nated as the time and place at which objections to the final
adoption of this Resolution will be heard by the Co~nission.
Section 4. That the Clerk of the Commission be,
and he is hereby ordered and directed
to publish in the Bozeman Daily \.Ihronicle, a daily newspaper
printed and published in the
said City of Bozeman, a Notice signed by the Clerk of the Commission, .and stating that

Resolution levying a special assessment of taxes to defray seventy-five
per cent of the
cost of sprinkling streets in the said Street Sprinkling Districts for the year 195LJ.,
is
on file in the office of the Clerk of the Commission, subject to
inapection for a period
of five days; that said Notice shall state the time and place at which objections will
be heard by the Oommission to the final adoption of this Resolution;
that it shall be
published at least ~ive days tlefore the date set by the Commission for hearing objections,
and the final adoption of this Resolution.
Provisionally passed and adopted by the Commission of the City of Bozeman at a regular

session thereof held on the 29th day of September, 1954.

HEARING FINAL ADOPTION COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 772 LEVYING ASSESSMENT OF
SEVENTY...FlVE PERCENT OF COST OF SPRINKLING STREEI', STREET SPRINKLING DISTRICTS
FOR THE YEAR 195h.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that at a regular session of the Commission of the City
of Bozeman held on the 29th day of September, 195h, Commission Resolution No. 772 was
duly passed and adopted; that said Commission Resolution No. 772 levies and assesses
I a speci..al assessrnent of taxes upon all the property in Street Sprinkling Districts of
said City to defray seventy-five percent of the cost of sprinkling streets within
said Street Sprinkling Districts for the year 1954.
That said Street Sprinkling Districts, and the Resolutions creating the same, and
the amount of the assessments are as follows:
street Sprinkling District No.1, created by Resolution No. 1-l-21~i in the amount
of $1,361.89..
That, said Resolution No. 772 is now on file in the office of the Clerk of the Com-
mlission of said City of Bozeman subject to inspection of all persons interested for a
period of five days; that Wednesday, the 13th day of October, 1954, at 1:)0 o'clock
P.M. of said day at a regular session of the Commission of the City of Bozeman,
C01mission Room, City Hall Building, has been designated as the time and place when and
where said Commission will hear and pass upon any and all objections that may be made
to the final adoption of said Commission Resolution No. 772, and the levying of said
assessment; and that said Resolution will be finally passed and adopted at said regular
session of said Commission, subject to such corrections and amendments as may be made
I upon objections made and filed within five days limit as provided by law.
