HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 785 Truck Bypass Route be designated as Federal Aid Urban System ---....--. --- 488 COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 785 A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMISSION OF' THE CITY OF BOZEMAN, MONTANA, REQUESTING THAT THE LOCATION OF A TRUCK BYPASS ROUTE ON THE NORTHSIDE OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN AS PROPOSED BY THE HIGHWAY COMMISSION OF THE STATE OF MONTANA BE DESIGNATED AS A PORTION OF THE FEDERAL AID URBAN SYSTEM WHEREAS, there has been presented to the Commission of the City of Bozeman, by the Highway Commis- sion of the State of Montana, a plat showing a proposed location of a truck bypass route on the north- side of the City of Bozeman; and I WHEREAS, in order to secure and expedite the oonstruction of said bypass route it is necessary and desirable that the same be designated as a portion of the Federal Aid Urban System; and WHEREAS, the proposed location has been considered by the Commission of the City of Bozeman, and is satisfactory to said Commission, subject to such deviations and adjustments therein as may be necessary and practioable when an actual survey of the said route is completed. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN: Section 1. That the Commission of the City of Bozeman hereby requests that the aforementioned truok bypass route as proposed by the Highway Commission of the State of Montana be designated as a portion of the Federal Aid Urban System. Section 2. That the proposed truck bypass route as platted takes off from U. S. Highway No. 10 approximately one thousand (1,000) feet west of the east City Limits of the City of Bozeman, then proceeds northwesterly to a point approximately at the intersection of North Wallaoe Avenue and Tamarack Street, then proceeds westerly along Tamarack Street to U. S. Highway No. 10 on North Seventh Avenue in the said City of Bozeman; and that said proposed location is satisfacto~ and is hereby approved subject to such deviations and adjustments as may be necessary or practicable when an actual survey of the said route is completed. I Section 3. That the Clerk of this Commission be, and he is hereby, directed to forward properly certified copies of this Resolution to the Highway Commission of the State of Montana and to all other interested parties. Section 4. That this Resolution shall be, and the same is hereby declared to be effective as of the date of its passage and adoption.
