A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN,
MONTANA, AUTHORIZING ARNOLD M. SWANSON AS MAYOR OF THE CITY
I
OF BOZEMAN TO ACCEPT TEE OFFER OF A FEDERAL GRANT BY THE
UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, PUBLIC HEALTH SERVICE, TO PARTIC-
IPATE IN THE AMOUNT OF $10,215.80 IN THE COST OF IMPROVING
THE EXISTING PRIMARY SEWAGE TREA~1ENT PLANT, CONSISTING OF
A NEW PLANT INFLUENT LINE, BAR SCREEN GRIT CHAMBER AND
REPAIRS TO CLARIFIER, AND FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR
OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN, MONTANA, TO ~~KE THE ASSURANCES
REQUIRED BY THE SURGEON GENERAL OF THE PUBLIC HEALTH SERVICE
AS A CONDITION TO SAID P'EDERAL GRANT
VifHEREAS, the Public Health
Service of the United States of America, acting
pursuant to the authority granted it under the Federal Water Pollution Control
Act (33 U.S.C. 466 et seq.) has, by its offer dated October 12, 1960, authorized
the expenditure of federal ~lnds in the amount of $10,215.80 as a grant to the
City of Bozeman for the purpose of making improvements to the existing primary
sewage treatment plant in Gallatin County, Montana, consisting of a new plant
inf luen t line, bar screen,
grit chamber and repairs to clarifier; and
WHEREAS, as a condition to said offer the Publio Health Service of the
United States of America requires a resolution by the City Commission of the
City of Bozeman, Montana, authorizing the Mayor to accept said offer and to
make the assurances required by said Public Heal th Service as contained in said
offer.
NOW, TIffiREFORE, BE IT RESOL~mD
by the City Commission of the City of
Bozeman, as follows:

I That the Honorable Arnold M. Swanson, Mayor of the City of Bozeman, be,
and he hereby is, suthorized and directed
to accept the offer of federal grant
for sewage treatment works made by the Public Health Service of the United
States of America on October 12, 196U, wherein and whereby said federal agency
offers to grant to the City of Bozeman the sum of $10,215.80 for the purpose of
improving the existing sewage treatment plant of the City of Bozeman located in
Gallatin County, Montana, for the purpose of installing a new plant influent
line, bar screen, grit chamber and making repairs to the clarifier.
II.
That the Honorable Arnold M. Swanson, as Mayor of the City of Bozeman, be,
and he hereby is, authorized on behalf of the City of Bozeman, Montana,
to ma ke
the assurances to
the Public Health Service of the United states of America as
set forth and contaj,ned in Section II,
Part A of the Offer and Acceptance of
Federal Grant for Sewage Treatment Works Under 33 U.S.C 466 et seq., dated
Oc tober 12, 1960.
Passed and adopte~ by the City Commission of the City of Bozeman, Montana,
at a regular session held on the 2nd day of November A. D. 196U.
