COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 978
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
BOZEMAN DECLARING A PUBLIC EMERGENCY CAUSED BY A FIRE
AT THE CITY OF BOZEMAN MUNICIPAL SWIMMING POOL WHICH
PARTIALLY DESTROYED THE HEATING PLANT BUILDING,

Sec tion 1
Facts Constituting Emergency
On Tuesday, July 14, 1959, at approxima tely 5 :22 a.m.,
the City of Bozeman
Park Department personnel discovered a rire in the building which houses the heat-
ing equipment at the City of Bozeman municipal swimming pool. They immediately
placed a call to the Fire Department, the members of which extinguished the fire.
Subsequent examination indicated that the controls on the gas or water feed to
the boiler had failed to function, the boiler had gone dry and the gas continued
to burn until the boiler became so excessively hot that the building was set on
fire.
Section 2
Estimate of Funds to Meet Declared Emergency
It is estimated that it will take the sum of $13,794.74 to meet the
emergency herein declared and to repair and replace the damaged property.
Section 3
Fund
I The fund against which emergency warrants shall be drawn to meet the above
described costs is the City of Bozeman Park Fund.
Section

Available Funds
Insurance companies insuring the property above described have paid claims
in the amount of $13,758.34 and the damaged boiler was sold for $36.40 making a
total of $13,794.74 available for emergency appropriation.
Provisionally passed and adopted by the City Commission at its regular meet-
ing held on the 15th day of June A. D. 1960.

OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZE-
V~N DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND SETTING FORTH
FACTS CONSTI~JTING SAID EMERGENCY, THE ESTI-
MATED AMOUNT OF MONEY REQUIRED TO MEET SUCH
EMERGENCY AND THE FUND AGAINST WHICH EMER-
GENCY WARRANTS SHOULD BE DRAWN
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Commission of the City of Bozeman has I
adopted a resolution declaring an emergency and setting forth facts constituting
said emergency, the estimated amount of money required to meet such emergency
and the fund against which emergency warrants should be drawn.
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY }"'1JRTHER GIVEN tha t any taxpayer may appear and be heard
for or against an order to be passed pursuant to said resolu tion by the Ci ty
Commission on Wednesday the 29th day of June, 1960, at the hour of 1:00 o'clock
p.m. at the Commission Room in the City Hall building, Bozeman, Montana.
