COMMISSION RESOLUTION No. 971
A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN,
MONTANA, DECLARING IT TO BE THE INTENTION OF SAID
COMMISSION TO VACATE A PORTION OF AN ALLEY IN BLOCK
"C", ORIGINAL TOWNSITE OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN, MONTANA

WHEREAS, all property owners owning property abutting an -alley in Block\"C",
Original Townsite of the City of Bozeman have presented to t~e City Commis~dn a I
petition asking the City Commission to institute the necessary proceedings t.-~va-
cate a portion of an existing alley in Block "C", Original Townsi te of the qity
of Bozeman; and
WHEREAS, it appears that the same may be vacated without detriment to the
public interest and should be vacated in the public interest;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN:
Section 1
Deolaration of Intention
It is hereby declared to be the intention of the Commission of the City of
Bozeman to vacate the following described portion of an alley in Block "C",
Original Townsite of the City of Bozeman:
That portion of the exiating alley in Block
~C!L,- Original Townsite of the City of Bozeman .

in Bloc-~ "eu of the Uriginal Townsite of Bozeman;
thence Ea-s t -along the North Lot Lines of Lots
36, 35, 34 and 33 a distance of 96.5 feet, to
a point in the North Lot Line of Lot 33, which
_point is 6.5 feet East of the Northwest Corner
of said Lot 33; thence South parallel to the
WefJt--f,c5t Line of said Lot 33 a distanoe of
20 feet; thence West parallel to the North Lot
Lines of Lots 33, 34, 35 and 36 a distance of
96.5 feet to the West Lot Line of Lot 36;
thence North a distance of 20 feet to the point I
of beginning.
subject to objection of owners of property affected by such proposed vaoation,
in accordance with the provisions of Seotion 11-3310 of the Revised Codes of
Montana, 1947.
Section 2
Time for Objection
That the regular meeting of the Commission of the City of Bozeman to be
held on Wednesday, the 30th day of Maroh A. D. 1960 at the hour of 1:00
o'c1ook p.m. of said day, at the Commission Room in the ~ity Hall Building,
Bozeman, Montana, is the time when and the place where the City Commission will
consider and pass upon objections to said proposed vacation and the City Manager
is directed to give notice thereof in the manner and for the time as provided in
Section ll-33l0-of the Revised Codes of Montana, 1947.
Section 3
This Resolution supersedes and replaces Commission Resolution No. 915 and
the said Commission Resolution No. 915 is hereby repealed.
Passed and adopted by the City Commission at its regular meeting held on
the 16th day of March A. D. 196U.

NOTICE OF HEARING ON RESOUTTION NO. 971 OF THE
CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN DECLAR-
ING ITS INTENTION TO VACATE A PORTION OF AN
ALLEY IN BLOCK "CIt, ORIGINAL TOWNSITE OF THE
CITY OF BOZEMAN
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Commission of the City of B07,eman has adopted
a resolution declaring it to be the intention of said Commission to pass an ord-
I inance vaca ting a portion of an allay in Block "C", origi. nal 'fownsi te of the City
of Bozeman, described as follows:
That portion of the existing alley in Block "C",
Original Townsite of the City of Bozeman, more
particularly described as follows, to-wit: Be-
~inning at the ~orthwest Corner of Lot 36 in Block
c" of the Original 'l'ownsi te of Bozeman; thence
East along the North Lot Lines of Lots 36, 35, 34
and 33 a distance of 96.5, to a point in the
North Lot Line of Lot 33, which point is 6.5 feet
East of the Northwest Corner of said Lot 33; thence
South parallel to the West Lot Line of said Lot 33
a distance of 20 feet; thence West parallel to the
North Lot Lines of Lots 33, 34, 35 and 36 a distance
of 96.5 feet to the West Lot Line of Lot 36; thence
North a distance of 2u feet to the point of be-
ginning;
the City Commission being of the opinion, after due consideration, that said
petition may be granted without detriment to the public interest and should be
granted in the public interest.
And Notice is further hereby given that any and all objections to the pass-
age and adoption of such an ordinance of vacation will be heard and considered
by the City Commission at its regular meeting to be held on Wednesday, the 30th
day of March A. D. 196U, at the hour of 1:0U o'clock p.m. at the Commission
Room in the Uity Hall Building, Bozeman, Montana.
