REPORT TO: Honorable Mayor and City Commission

SUBJECT: Water Impact Fee Study Update
MEETING DATE: Monday, May 14, 2007
RECOMMENDATION: Open and continue to May 21, 2007.
BACKGROUND: The City has contracted with HDR Engineering to prepare an update to the
water impact fee. The Impact Fee Advisory Committee met on April 12th and 26th and May 3rd
to consider the draft. The Committee recommended some changes to the report. The Consultants
are preparing the revised draft. It was not yet available by the close of packet deadlines for the
May 14th Commission meeting.
It is expected that the materials will be available for the May 21st Commission meeting. The
revised report, minutes of the IFAC meetings, public comment, and all other relevant materials
will be provided to the Commission for the May 21st Commission meeting.
UNRESOLVED ISSUES: None at this time, items will be identified for the May 21st meeting.
FISCAL EFFECTS: Impact fees affect the City’s ability to finance infrastructure and continue
to support growth and public safety.
ALTERNATIVES: As suggested by the City Commission.
