HomeMy WebLinkAboutSchroeder GPA Report compiled on May 9, 2007 Commission Memorandum REPORT TO: Honorable Mayor & City Commission FROM: Martin Knight, Assistant Planner SUBJECT: Schroeder Growth Policy Amendment Application #Z-07016 MEETING DATE: Monday, May 14th, 2007 RECOMMENDATION: The City Commission open and continue review of this application to June 18, 2007. BACKGROUND: The applicant is proposing to amend the City of Bozeman growth policy by changing the land use designation, as shown on the Future Land Use Map of the Bozeman 2020 Community Plan, from Industrial to Residential for 7.388 acres of land located on the east side of North 27th Avenue, just north of the intersection of Catron Street and North 27th Avenue, in the Cattail Creek Subdivision. Due to the Bozeman Daily Chronicle’s failure to properly post the notice that was submitted, the Planning Department is requesting this application to be open and continued to the June 18, 2007 City Commission hearing. This extension will permit the proper noticing procedures to occur prior. UNRESOLVED ISSUES: The Department of Planning is not aware of any unresolved issues for the proposed development at this time. FISCAL EFFECTS: Fiscal impacts are undetermined at this time, but will include increased property tax revenues, along with increased costs to deliver municipal services to the property, when the property is developed.
