Courtney,
Hope all is well, On July 16th the property address 109 E. Peach Street is
going in front of the City Commission for a series of approvals. My home,
503 N. Bozeman Ave. is located immediately to the East and just across
the alley from this vacant lot.
This note is to encourage you, the city planners and the city commission
to approve the plans for development/build on that lot by Moe Witschard
as well as the approval of the variance for the project. My understanding
is that the variance request is for 31% of the building to occupy the rear lot
which is 11% above the amount allowed by city building code. Given the
location of the lot adjacent to Beall Park and the southern exposure the
building will enjoy, it makes all the sense in the world to push the footprint
back to the rear edge of the lot slightly. Such a variance won’t have an
impact on our neighborhood.
Feel free to reach out to me with any questions or clarifications.
Regards,
Brock Anderson
