Unfortunately I will not be able to attend the public hearing so I wanted to forward a
concern to the Board for consideration as part of that forum. I live in Hew Hyalite View and travel Highland past the hospital and medical offices quiteregularly. I notice very often that cars using the southernmost entrance to the medicaloffices off Highland fail to signal or signal very late, just before slowing. As there is nodedicated left turn lane for that entrance northbound down Highland and no dedicatedright turn lane for that entrance southbound up Highland, I have seen many near missesand even a couple of accidents. It is especially bad in winter months where snow and iceaffect stopping distance. All other entrances off of Highland to the Hospital or Medical Offices have both dedicatedright hand turn and left hand turn lanes. As we consider the building of an additional medical office building, which will increasethe traffic and exacerbate the existing concern, I would like to request that dedicatedright and left turn lanes modifications to Highland be a part of the project and a conditionthereof; for both the existing southernmost entrance and any new entrances created offHighland.
