HomeMy WebLinkAboutD2 HDR agreement Commission Memorandum TO: Honorable Mayor and City Commission FROM: Chris Saunders, Assistant Director SUBJECT: Fire Impact Fee Update Contract MEETING DATE: Monday, November 13th 2006 at 6:00 PM. BACKGROUND: The City has undertaken an update to its impact fee program. Part of this effort is an update to the fire impact fee cost of services study. After a competitive selection process HDR was chosen to perform this work. A contract has been negotiated to perform the necessary tasks to complete the update and provide a final report to the City Commission. HDR has signed the contract and the document is now before the City Commission for their approval. UNRESOLVED ISSUES: The Department of Planning is not aware of any unresolved issues for the proposed development at this time. RECOMMENDATION: That the City Commission authorize the City Manager to sign the contract on behalf of the City. FISCAL EFFECTS: The contract will incur cost for the work performed. The outcome will be adjusted fire impact fees reflecting the cost of providing fire protection services. ALTERNATIVES: As suggested by the City Commission.
