The change order is to replace a gate valve at 17'h and Durston that was found to be leaking and in disrepair during the course of the work. The change order increases the contract amount from $2,306,869.95 by $5,535.00 to a total of$2,312,404.95. There is an increase in the contract time of l day with this change. The final recommended price for this change is reasonable and commensurate with the work involved. RECOMMENDATION: Motion and vote to approve and authorize City Manager to sign the change order FISCAL EFFECTS: To be paid from the G.O. The old 10-inch valve can be removed and a new 10-inch gate valve and valve box can be installed using a solid sleeve to make the connection for$5,535.00.
