Park Plan Approval
REPORT TO: Honorable Mayor and City Commission
FROM: Recreation and Parks Advisory Board
SUBJECT: Baxter Meadows Pbase 3—Final Park Plan
PLANNER: Lanette Windemaker
MEETING DATE: TBD
BACKGROUND:
• The developer has worked with Planning, Parks, and the RPAB subdivision review
committee to develop an acceptable park plan. In this process developer has removed 5
lots opening up and expanding the park area, and adding landscaping over and above
the requirement. The only remaining questions in the plan is the irrigation plan is
unfinished and there is reference to an 8' asphalt trail where a 10' or 12' trail would
meet city standards.
BOARD ACTION:
• At the August 10, 2006, meeting of the RPAB, the board voted unanimously to accept
the Baxter Meadows Phase 3 Park Plan contingent on rectifying the irrigation and trail
issues to the satisfaction of the City Parks Superintendent.
Respectfully submitted,
Sandy Dodge, Chairman, RPAB
