HomeMy WebLinkAboutF6 P06015A_Baxter Meadows 6 Park Master Plan_CCPacket_9.25.06_LGW Commission Memorandum 1 REPORT TO: Honorable Mayor and City Commission FROM: Andrew Epple, AICP,Planning Director Chris Kukulski, City Manager SUBJECT: Baxter Meadows Phase 6 Park Master Plan#P-06015A MEETING DATE: September 25, 2006 BACKGROUND: This is a request for approval of the Baxter Meadows Phase 6 Park Master Plan on property located generally east of Vaquero Parkway and south of Kimberwicki. The Recreation and Parks Advisory Board reviewed this master plan on August 10, 2006 and recommended approval subject to resolution of the well issue. The Park Master Plan has been updated to include installation of a well. Therefore,no condition is necessary. RECOMMENDATION: The City Commission approves the Park Master Plan of Baxter Meadows Phase 6. FISCAL EFFECTS: Fiscal impacts are undetermined at this time, but will include increased property tax revenues from. new development, along with increased costs to deliver municipal services to the property. Box 1230 ' Bozeman, MT • 59771 Park Plan Approval REPORT TO: Honorable Mayor and City Commission FROM: Recreation and Parks Advisory Board SUBJECT: Baxter Meadows Phase 6 -Final Park Plan PLANNER: Lanette Windemaker MEETING DATE: TBD BACKGROUND: • Baxter Meadows has worked with Parks, Planning, and RPAB to develop an acceptable park plan--e.g. widening and aligning trails, additional landscaping, and moving sewer access. The only issue yet unresolved is the need for a well in the Main Park area. Developer feels that there is sufficient capacity in neighboring park wells. The Parks Department is skeptical. BOARD ACTION: • On August 10, 2006,the RPAB voted to approve the parks plan contingent on resolution of the well issue to the satisfaction of the Parks Superintendent.
