SUBJECT: Bozeman Parking Garage
MEETING DATE: June 6, 2006
BACKGROUND: The Bozeman Downtown Parking Garage is now fully back under City
responsibility. There are a number of design items that need to be addressed in order to submit
the Environmental Assessment to the Federal Transit Authority.
Attached is a contract for Parking Lot Design Services from Gralic. The services outlined in the
agreement include: a formal review of the second party review conducted by Walker ; a striping
plan; signage plan; and services during the construction phase. This work is all considered
specialty work related to a parking facility. Total cost for these services is $12,400.
RECOMMENDATION: The review of the Walker recommendations is a crucial first step
because the recommendations will need to be incorporated into the design by the architect. A
signage plan was also a condition of approval by the City Planning Office in order to issue the
garage COA.
Staff recommends approval of the contract as an important first step in moving the project along
FISCAL EFFECTS: This work will be paid for with Tax Increment funds.
ALTERNATIVES: As suggested by the City Commission.
