HomeMy WebLinkAboutI2COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 3913 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN, MONTANA, ESTABLISHING A FEE SCHEDULE FOR MISCELLANEOUS SERVICES PROVIDED TO THE PUBLIC BY THE CITY’S WATER AND SEWER OPERATIONS DIVISION, AS ALLOWED BY SECTION 7-7-4404, MONTANA CODE ANNOTATED (MCA), AND SECTION 13.12.070, BOZEMAN MUNICIPAL CODE. WHEREAS, the City of Bozeman furnishes certain water services to facilitate acceptance of new water mains, water and sewer services, and fire service lines; and WHEREAS, the City of Bozeman is authorized to collect fees for services provided based on the provisions of Section 7-7-4404, MCA; and WHEREAS, Section 13.12.070, Bozeman Municipal Code, authorizes charges for water services. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission of the City of Bozeman, Montana: Section 1 The fee schedule for services provided by City of Bozeman Water and Sewer Operations Division personnel to facilitate acceptance of new water mains, water and sewer services, and fire service lines, and for the amount of water used shall be as follows: Commission Resolution No. 3913 1 Equipment and Service Provided Personnel Costs Water Costs Operate Supply Valves to: - Fill lines for disinfection - Flush lines to replace water to city chlorine residual - Supply water for Bac-T test - Inspect interior connections of fire lines - To facilitate water main shut downs for maintenance Minimum of $50.00 for each visit, one hour maximum. $25.00 for each one-half hour thereafter (service requires one person). $2.60/1000 gallons. Total volume of gallons used shall be based upon 250% of total pipe volume (example: the charge for a pipe with 8000 gallons total volume would be 2.50 X 8000 X 2.60 divided by 1000 = $52.00). Volume to be determined by developer’s engineer, and shall be provided to the City Water Dept. Liquid or gas chlorination will add an additional 100 % to the total volume calculated. - Inspect water service installation - Inspect sewer service installation (outside property) Minimum of $100.00 for each visit, one hour maximum. $50.00 for each one-half hour thereafter (service requires two people). Fire Hydrant Flowing Minimum of $100.00 for each visit, one hour maximum. $50.00 for each one-half hour thereafter (service requires two people). $2.60/1000 gallons. Quantity is determined by City Water Division using computation table involving pressure, orifice size, and time of flow. Section 2 This fee schedule shall be in full force and effect on June 1, 2006.
