This included taking samples of the water body to measure temperature, acidity, PH levels, sodium concentration, and water clarity. I would also conduct a survey of the riparian habitat. Noting wildlife, vegetation cover, and erosion. This data was then submitted for further interpretation by the state's Department of Natural Resources. I am interested in serving this board for several reasons. The first being to ensure our community is effectively managing water discharges and is making efforts to reduce toxins that inevitably end up in other water ways. The second is helping to incorporate wetland areas into the landscape in Bozeman, allowing us the opportunity for both recreation and scenic beauty. Finally to become an active citizen by participating in a field I care deeply about.
