Pierre--Relevant Background Retired from Montana State University in 2000 after 38 years as a Professor of Electrical Engineering. Served as Electrical Engineering Department Head, 1979-1984. Worked as a part-time researcher at MSU, Bozeman,June 2000—June 2008. Served two three-year terms on the board of directors of the Bozeman Senior Center (BSC), 2003 —2008. Vice chairman of the BSC board, 2007—2008. Active volunteer in the BSC computer room. Member of the BSC Creative Writers Group. Member of the local Retired Educators Association. Member of AARP. Member of the Gallatin Valley Land Trust. Volunteer mentor for the past seven years in the Bozeman Child Assistance Program (CAP). Author of a historical novel, Yesteryears Western Trek, available in local bookstores.
