The base bid for the project, was bid at $15,393.76. SUGGESTED MOTION: Ratify the City Manager’s signature on the Professional Services Agreement with Buffalo Restoration, for the Lindley Center Water Damage from the service line plumbing leak. BACKGROUND: A galvanized water supply line for the Lindley Center cracked and water leaked into the area under the main level floor and the ceiling in the basement. The drywall area pulled away and some mold and mildew was present around the leak. Water also dropped into the basement and damaged some recreation items. Work on the project needed to get started because the building will be rented out for most of the summer. UNRESOLVED ISSUES: None for this project. The plumbing was repaired and areas of the basement will be cleaned out to prevent odors and vapors from transferring up to the public area of the building. FISCAL EFFECTS: This work will be paid for from the Recreation Department Budget. Our insurance provider was also contacted and inspected the area of damage. MMIA will pay for a portion of the repairs, and we will need to meet the required deductable amount for city projects. ALTERNATIVES: As suggested by the City Commission. 131 Attachments: Professional Services Agreement Report compiled on: May 27, 2014 132 133 134 135 136 137 138 139 140 141 142 143 144 145 146 147 148 149 150 151 152 153 154 155 156 157 158
