COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. lO43A
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZE-
MAN, MONTANA, AUTHORIZING FRED M. STAUDAHER AS MAYOR OF
THE CITY OF BOZEMAN TO ACCEPT THE OFFER OF A FEDERAL
I GRANT BY THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, PUBLIC HEALTH
SERVICE, TO PARTICIPATE IN THE AMOUNT OF $24,076.31 IN
THE COST OF THE CONSTRUCTION OF AN OUTFALL SEWER TO SERVE
HILLCREST RETIREMENT HOMES AND ADJACENT RESIDENTIAL AREAS,
AND FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN,
MONTANA, TO MAKE THE ASSURANCES REQUIRED BY THE SURGEON
GENERAL OF THE PUBLIC HEALTH SERVICE AS A CONDITION TO
SAID FEDERAL GRANT
WHEREAS, the Pubiic Health SerVice ot the United States of America,
aoting pursuant to the authority granted it under the Federal Water
Pollution Control Act (33 U.S.C. 466 et seq.) has, by its offer dated June
26, 1962, authorized the expenditure of federal fUnds in the amount of
$24,076.31 as a grant to the City of Bozeman for the purpose of construc-
ting an outfail sewer to serve the Hillorest Retirement Homes and adjacent
residential areas in the City ot Bozeman, Gallatin County, MonteR.; and
WHEREAS, as a condition to said otter the Public Health Service of the
United States of America requires a resolution by the City Commission of the
City of Bozeman, Montana, authorizing the Mayor to accept said offer and to
make the assurances required by said Public Health Service as contained in
said offer.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission of the City of
Bozeman, as tollows:
I.
I That the Honorable Fred M. Staudaher, Mayor of the City of Bozeman, be,
and-he hereby is, authorized and directed to accept the offer of federal grant
for the purpose of constructing an outfall sewer to serve the Hiilorest Retire-
ment Homes and adjacent residential areas made by the Public Health Service of
the Un! ted Sta tea of America on June 26, 1962, wherein and whereby said federal
agency ofters to grant to the City ot Bozeman that sum of $24,076.31 for the
purpose of constructing an outfall sewer to serve the Hillcrest Retirement
Homes and adjacent residential areas ot the City at Bozeman, Gallatin County,
Montana.
II.
Tha t the Honorable Fred M. Staudaher, as Mayor at theCi ty of Bozeman,
be, and he hereby is, authorized on behalf of the City ot Bozeman, Montana,
to make the assurances to the Public Health Service of the United States of
America as set forth and contained in Section II, Part A of the Offer and
Acceptance of Federal Grant for the construction of an outfall sewer to serve
the Hillcrest Retirement Homes and adjacent residential areas in the City of
Bozeman, Gailatin County, Montana, (under 33 U.S.C. 466 et seq.), dated
June 26, 1962.
Passed and adopted by the City Commission of the City of Bozeman, Montana,
at a regular session held on the 11th day of July A. D. 1962.
