Box 1230 planning a bozeman.net Bozeman, Montana 59771-1230 www.bozemon.net MEMORANDUM TO: Bozeman City Commission FROM: Courtney Kramer, Assistant Planner for Historic Preservation RE: Bozeman Historic Preservation Advisory Board Appointments DATE: December 9, 2008 Appointment of additional members to the Bozeman Historic Preservation Advisory Board is on your agenda for December 15, 2008. The BHPAB has met with, and would like to forward recommendations for two applicants. Another applicant, Charlotte Kress, attended a Preservation Board meeting and then withdrew her application as she realized her schedule conflicted with regularly scheduled BHPAB meetings. Please respect her request and do not appoint her. The BHPAB believes Ms. WaIsh's experience in marketing and advertising will significantly help them promote Preservation 365- a yearlong series of events which strive to bring awareness to Bozeman's historic and cultural resources. Ms. Walsh is also a resident of the Bon Ton Historic District, which helps us fill our neighborhood representation. Ms. Dalton is a resident of the Cooper Park Historic District, and has extensive experience in non-profit and similar community organizations. The BHPAB believed her experience would be helpful in organizing low-cost education and outreach. As a side note, the BHPAB has made it a priority to find representatives from north of Bozeman, as well as Main Street businesses. If you have any friends or acquaintances who might be interested in serving, please forward them to the Preservation Board's website: xti-Nv%v.preservebozeman.org for an application!
