Have you ever served on a City or County board? (Yes/No) Yes, on the Bozeman Historic Preservation
Board for one year.
(If so, where, what board, and how long?)
Please explain your relevant qualifications, interests, and experiences.
My interests lie in cultural heritage, historic preservation and the importance of engaging the
public in the history of their community and built environment. I was born and raised in
Livingston, MT and attended Montana State University, receiving a Bachelor's degree in
Anthropology and a Master's degree in history. Upon graduation, I moved to San Diego, CA and
worked at the La Jolla historical society, trying to save historic beach cottages from demolition.
From there I moved the Wells Fargo History Museum and worked as a curator for five years. I
moved back to Bozeman three years ago and currently work for Project Archaeology, a national
heritage education program located at Montana State University. My position at Project
Archaeology involves public outreach and education. I work specifically with educators and
students to promote cultural heritage and archaeological site stewardship.
