Whereas, The Office of the Municipal Clerk a time honoredandvitalpart of local
government exists throughout the world,• and
Whereas, The Office of the MunicipalClerkis the oldest among public servants; and
Whereas, The Office of the MunicipaCCCerkprovides the professionallinkbetwee n the
citizens, the localgoverning bodies andagencies ofgovernment at otherfevels; and
Whereas, Municipal Clerks have pledged to be ever mindful of their neutrality and
impartiality, rendering equalservice to alb and
Whereas, The Municipa[Crerkserves as the information center on functions of local
government andcommunity; and
Whereas, Municipa(Clerks continually strive to improve the administration of the affairs
of the Office of the MunicipalCrerkthrough participation in education programs, seminars,
workshops and the annual meetings of their state, provinciaf, county and international
professional organizations; and
Whereas, It is most appropriate that we recognize the accomplishments of the Office of the
Municipa(Clerk.
Now, Therefore, I, Jeffrey X Krauss, Mayor of Bozeman, Montana, do recognize the weekof
May 4 through May 10, 2014, as Municipal ClerksWeek andfurther extendappreciation to our
Municipal Clerk Stacy 4llmen andDeputy MunicipalClerkAimee Brunckhorst and to all
Municipal Clerks for the vitalservices they perform and their exemplary dedication to the
communities they represent.
