He wanted to make the intersection a four way stop or switch the stop signs from Annie to 27th. I
told him this was not warranted, and probably the best solution was to request that the school
determine if a crossing guard should be provided.

Andy or Rick,
Just wondering if you wanted to add any info. to this regarding why the safety
device request was denied before I pass this on to the commission.
Thanks!

Good Afternoon...I am hoping to meet with a City Commissioner to discuss a safety issue on
the commute to Emily Dickinson School. I can be flexible with the meeting time.
Just so you know....
I filled out a request to have a stop sign installed on 27th and Annie....this was denied. I am
hoping the Commissioners will see that there is good reason for installing some safety device
at this intersection and overrule the decision. Even a warning light or blinking red light
(triggered by a switch) would work. There are way too many kids using this passage for
morning and afternoon commutes and there are way too many cars on this road.
I think there is a legitimate concern for the safety of our children at this intersection.
Thank you and I am looking forward to discussing further.
