COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 1139
A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN,
MONTANA, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CLERK OF THE CITY
COMMISSION TO EXECUTE A BARGAIN AND SALE DEED.
WHEREAS, the City of Bozeman by and through the Oi ty Commission.. upon the I
recommendation and approval of the City Manager, has heretofore entered
into negotiations vi th Bozeman Aerie #326, Fraternal order of Eagles, a
Montana non-profit corporation, for the sale of the hereinafter described
property for the sum of One DOllar and other valuable consideration
($l.OU ovc); and,
WHEREAS, it appears to the City Con:nnission that it is to the best
interest of the City of Bozeman to complete said sale by the execution and
delivery of a deed to said party.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
BOZEMAN AS FOLLOWS:
That the Mayor of the City of Bozeman, R. Harry Morrow, be and he
hereby is authorized for and on behalf of the City of Bozeman, and consider-
ation of the sum of One Dollar and other valuable consideration ($l.UU ovc)
in hand paid, to make and execute a deed transferring and conveying to
Bozeman Aerie #326, Fraternal Order of Eagles the fOLlowing described real
property mtuate in the City of Bozeman, County of Gallatin, State of Montana,
to-wit:
Beginning at an iron pipe monument, set by C.J\1. Thorpe in the year
1939, said pipe marking the north.esterly corner of Block A of
Rouses Addition to Bozeman, Montana; thence westerly across south
Rouse A venue a dis tance of 60 fee t, to a cross chiseled in the
concrete sidewalk marking the northeasterly corner of BLock "c"
Original Townst te of Bozeman, Montana; thence westerly along the
northerly line of said Block" e" a dis tance of 70.60 fee t to the
northeasterly corner of lot 15 of said block "c" being the true
point of beginning; thence southerly along the easterly line of
said lot 15 a distance of 81.71 feet to 8 point of intersection
with the easterly exterior face of the brick waLl of the I
building of the Fraternal Order of Eagles as now constructed a
distance of 81.68' more or less to the northerly line of said
15; thence easterly along the northerly LOt line of said lot 15
a dist~nce of 0.4 feet to the true pOint of beginning.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Commission at its regular meeting
heLd on the 16th day of September, 1964.
