Dear Commissioners,I am e mail this letter to you since when I tried to "submit" on theCommission Feedback Form , in red it said to "enter" when all there I foundwas a "submit" button.Thank you for all your hard work in regards to the NDOCarolyn Hopper
Dear Commissioners,As much as I would like to play a "Bibical" card in the NDO decisionmaking process, to do so in a LTE would only promote a ping pong game ofchapter and verse--literal vs "in the spirit" of for Bible verses.So while I do believe that the "most right thing to do" is in the spiritof "Commandments" from Jesus,I also deeply believe that no one for any reason should ever be treateddifferently from anyone else in this community with regard to job,housing, service in any public business.Furthermore I caution the Commissioners against providing so manyloopholes that the few of religious institutions whose teachings talkabout reviling acts related to some in the LBGT community, dictate anypart of the law that oversteps bounds.And the comments relating to "bathroom" issues? Pediphiles - inbathrooms, in the childrens' bedrooms of "straight" men, haveunfortunately been with us for a very long time. It is not LGBT folks incommunities who have done the worst to others. It has been "straight"men who have done so and many are members of "Christian" churches.And anywho exposes himself to the public in any setting should be helpresponsible. So the bathroom issue is a smoke screen used as an excuseto ban members of the LGBT community from... from what, exactly?I realize you have possible lawsuit issues to consider, but by standingup to those who want you to act against the common decency because theychoose the letter of the law, you show that in Bozeman we are tolerant.I certainly will not refuse to dance at a tango lesson with one stonefaced young man I saw sitting in the row of those dressed in white whowish to consider members of the LGBT community evil.Sincerely,
