Such an ordinance should be designedto protect the rights of ALL people in Bozeman. Opposition to the development andadoption of such an ordinance by some people is short-sighted and, in some cases, based on selfish concerns, beliefs, and irrational understanding of the facts. Allpeople make up the unique community we know to be Bozeman. Diversity is theprimary strength that binds our community and assures the economic and culturalsuccesses of a quality community. As a business owner, I respect the diverse beliefsand wisdom of my employees, clients, neighbors, and associates. As you are wellaware, our strength as a community lies with our ability to work together with manydifferent perspectives. Our City Government should not ignore its vital role toformalize a Non-Discrimination Ordinance. Sincerely, Scott L. CarpenterInteResources Planning, Inc. 505 Bond St., Suite B Bozeman, MT 59715
